I chose to celebrate my birthday at Chouquet, and I'm so glad I did. Upon arrival, we were greeted with Kir Royales before being seated—a very nice way to start the evening. Had dinner last night as a party of three. Ordered the Coq au Vain (Thursday special), Salmon, and Beef Bourgoin. All three dishes were excellent. Highly recommend this local gem for a night with friends, would also be a fantastic place to take a date. Will be back soon.
My eggs Benedict arrived cold, but tasted ok. My dining partner's salad (with a $7 chicken add on) was reported as "excellent". The "spicy (almost undrinkable)" so called Bloody Mary ($13) had low alcohol "vodka" with absolutely no kick. My dining partner was celebrating a birthday. A dessert arrived without being ordered, with a single candle...both of us do not eat sugar. To my surprise, I was charged for the dessert! WTF?🤦 Lunch for two,...
