Been going to City View for over 20 years, hands down the best dim sum in San Francisco! Great service, everything is always fresh, hot and delicious.

Good location in Chinatown. The shrimp were hit and miss. In cham fun varied from ok to inedible. In har gao acceptable ok but the skin was too thick. In siu mai the shrimp were inedible and the pork could have been more tender. The turnip cake was tasty. The rice porridge was very good but a little salty for my taste.

Super clean place for dimsum.
I think you are paying a premium for the convenience and nice interior. The food is okay.

Great food!!! Everything we ordered was so good and fresh, especially the rice roll.
A bit overpriced for my Chinatown dim sum but for sit down meal, it think it was understandable. Food came so fast too.
Also, a great city view :P

Order string beans, su mai, duck with buns, chicken feet, egg rolls, and shrimp chives dumplings.

Great spot in San Francisco's Chinatown, tucked away in a side street. The dim sum were delicious, some of the best I've had. The duck pancakes were also great. The rice paper rolls were incredible.

Service was fast and friendly, the price was decent too. Can't wait to come back.

Great food! We were in San Francisco for less than a day and this was our only main meal. What a great choice! Delicious dim sum, the chicken wings were fantastic too. Would definitely recommend.

A bit turned off by the pricing of dim sum here. It felt that it was less of a traditional yum cha experience and more upmarket. No carts carting around dim sum wares.

There is no filling in most of the dim sum dishes. Disorganized waiters without an easy way to order your dishes. Unattractive to serve your table. Very different from their old place. Not recommended and I won't be back.

Clean and beautifully renovated restaurant with good dim sum and service. The Siu Mai was one of the best I’ve eaten.

We had a reunion of friends, and the food, service, reservation process, atmosphere, and cleanliness were all great. Good din sum and small dishes. Thanks so much!

This was the second dim sum restaurant of our visit and it did not disappoint. Vincent was our server and he guided us to the best of the best. Every dish was more spectacular than the previous and then he capped it off with the custard buns. The flavors were memorable and we cannot wait to return. This is a must visit restaurant!!!!!

Delicious dim sum restaurant with multiple levels. Conveniently located right outside one of the Portsmouth Plaza parking lot exits.

They serve a variety of traditional dishes that one can order off the menu or as servers are passing by.

Flavors were quite good. Their turnip cake is sublime and perfectly crispy. Their rice noodle rolls had good texture and their lava custard buns were a little on the runny side, but still good.

While on the pricier side, it's pretty good for being in SF.

They will charge you for tea
