I have been dining at the original Crustaceans restaurant for over 30 years. From 1st dates to special celebrations and more. I was SHOCKED when it closed. Then I was delighted and wowed by this new Crustacean restaurant. Improved menu, with the traditional classic world famous Roasted Crab & Garlic Noodles. This new spot is the NEXT LEVEL of opulence and enjoyment. I look forward to at least 30 more years of loyal patronage. My only dig is they have no loyalty program that rewards loyal customers like me who have introduced hundreds of new customers to the restaurant over the years. WHERE IS THE LOVE? I should get some type of recognition đ€ đ LOL

Probably a first Vietnamese fine dining restaurant that I had an opportunity to try. Located in prime financial district of San Francisco, Crutacean is a great option for business meals.
We tried the dumplings and they were delicious. I had the garlic noodles which was tad bit dry, it made a good combination with chicken skewers.
The ambience is fantastic and the service is top notch as youâd expect from a place like this. Worth a shot.

We had lunch at Crustacean and ordered the mango salad, calamari, shaken beef, garlic noodles, and wagyu fried rice. Unfortunately, the food didnât quite live up to expectations. The shaken beef was on the tough side, and the sauce leaned too heavily on soy or fish sauce, making it overly salty. The wagyu fried rice was greasy, and the texture of the rice came out soggy rather than fluffy. The garlic noodles were decent, but nothing particularly memorable.
On the brighter side, the service was excellentâattentive and friendlyâand the restaurant itself has a very elegant, upscale atmosphere. Overall, it feels like much of the price point reflects its FiDi location more than the food quality.

Love the new location in the financial district. Beautifully decorated and hopping atmosphere! The bar is beautiful and The garlic crab is a must. We came on the first day of the soft opening and the service was a little slow & chaotic. Definitely will be coming back.

Iâve been dining at this restaurant for years, and the new location is every bit as impressive as the original. The quality and consistency never disappoint. If youâre planning a visit, I highly recommend trying the roasted crabâitâs outstanding. Paulo is also a very great host!

25 years ago my parents celebrated their first Valentineâs Day at crustacean on Polk at a small table nestled in the corner of the restaurant; last night they returned to relive the magic at their new location with their daughter, and what a beautiful experience it was!
Crustacean has long earned its status as an institution, with a sister restaurant Thanh Long in the Outer Sunset. Their brand new location in FiDi-though reopened as higher end-plays homage to its original through retention of classic flavors, a diverse atmosphere, and personable hospitality.
Service was exquisite, not to mention one of the owners who made their way around checking in with tables, greeting guests, and helping out their team as needed.
For the sheer quality of their poultry, meats, and produce, let alone presentation, prices are great! Some standouts: hamachi crudo, viet chicken satay, wagyu dumplings, tuna cigars, baked Alaska, and of course, the crab and garlic noodles. Upon visiting our table, the owner spoke to the process of creating their newest menu, in which she revealed each dish has its own, unique backstory and connection to the An Family.
What a beautiful experience, I am so grateful to be able to have relived that experience with my parents :).

Whatâs the use of asking if we are celebrating something special like a birthday or anniversary when you did nothing about it. When we tell you, itâs my friendâs birthdayđđđđ Thatâs why we are here

The crab - phenomenal. Amazing recommendation by an A1 server - Eric. He sold us on it and it was seasoned so well, Iâll definitely be back. Carlos the busser, top notch. That man made me feel well taken care of, vip and at home.

We had an unforgettable evening at the new Crustacean! Wow, the space is absolutely stunning, the updated cocktail program is fresh and elevated, and the new specials are next-level delicious. We sat at the bar with Shane, and let me just say: heâs a whole experience. From expertly guiding us through the menu to snapping our date night photos and keeping us laughing all evening, Shane made us feel like VIPs. Evan was also wonderful, and the entire experience was truly exceptional from start to finish. Thank you, Shane, weâre already planning to return for lunch and try even more of the amazing dishes. Highly recommend this gem of a spot and if you can, grab a seat at the bar!
