Today’s lunch spot was chosen by my friend and her friend to meet at and catch up. If you can’t tell by the pictures and name, this place is a quirky Mexican-Indian fusion restaurant tailored for a social media aesthetic. I ordered the lamb burrito on flour tortilla.
Regarding the food, the burrito is a large portion size. It’s quite filling so it’ll likely leave you satisfied. The lamb was tender with a bit of a kick. The rice and chickpeas were also very flavorful. The only reason I give 4/5 stars is because I’ve had better Indian food elsewhere. It’s lacking relative to other restaurants, but still objectively good I think.
The atmosphere is pretty nice; there’s music playing and large windows with a view of the street. The table and environment are pleasant and conducive to long post-meal conversations.
Overall, the restaurant’s atmosphere, service, and food are good; it’s a pleasant experience eating here. However, if I’m back in San Francisco, I don’t think I’d choose this place over trying new restaurants.

Went for the DoorDash Going Out dine in deal and was closed for sit down. We had to travel to the restaurant so was disappointed that they said they were open when they were not. This was at 7pm on a Tuesday.

I have been going to Curry up now for the last 10 years now! The burritos are excellent and they keep on adding new fun items on their menu. We do miss having the Paneer Quesadilla, please bring it back :)
Great Fusion place! We had Samosa Chaat and Paneer Saag with Paneer butter masala thaali. The waitress suggested to have it with garlic chilli naan and it turned out to be delicious! Quantity was really good as well. Definitely worth the price and hype! Among the top indian food places in the city for me yet!

He was very rude with me. How come he argue with Customer, this location going to be lose their business sooner

Often Indian fusion food is a step down from the original Indian food, but not here! Very tasty, good atmosphere, friendly and fast service

I just ordered delivery and it was the quickest delivery ive yet experienced. Even better, the food was excellent. It tasted authentic, aggressively spiced, cleaned our plates completely and will definitely order from there again. They should offer plain traditional naan, i didnt see it on the menu.

It's pretty funny to see the reviews of this place hating on it saying it's not legit Indian food. Yeah, that's kind of the point. They make burritos, quesadillas, burgers, and pizzas that have Indian cuisine ingredients in them, that's the concept. It's the bold, rich fusion you'd expect from a place that took its cue from its humble food truck beginnings.
The fools that go in here and order a thali platter and are disappointed are probably the same people that would be disappointed by ordering and judging their experience from the kids menu at another restaurant. My point is that the thali platter is the outlier from the main menu for those that don't get the fact that this is a casual fusion joint, not an authentic Indian restaurant.
OK, enough defense of Curry Up Now, here's what you need to try:
* Chicken Tikka Masala Burrito - it's amazing; it's made for lovers of Indian food and Mexican food. I get without the garbanzo beans and extra tikka masala sauce, it's perfect.
* Naughty Naan with Paneer - It's like Indian pizza/flat bread; the paneer, tikka masala sauce and naan blend perfectly together and the jalapenos add a fresh, spicy kick to it.
* Deconstructed Samosa - Chunks of tiny samosas floating in a sea of chutney, pico, and garbanzo beans, also good with the paneer.
The only reason that I don't give this place 5 stars is their service is hit or miss, they screw up orders, etc. but I've never experienced rude service. Ever. They once forgot to process a delivery order and I waited like an hour before they figured it out but then they made the food really quickly and had it over my place in 30 mins AND refunded me my entire payment.

I recently dined at Curry Up and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I ordered the Naughty Naan and a Paneer Butter Masala Bowl. The Naughty Naan was a delightful twist on traditional naan, filled with a savory mix that was both flavorful and satisfying. The Paneer Butter Masala Bowl was rich and creamy, with perfectly cooked paneer pieces that complemented the aromatic sauce beautifully. Additionally, the meal was rounded off with a nice touch—a cup of chai and Parle G biscuits, adding a comforting and nostalgic end to the dining experience. Our server, Peter, was very nice and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. Overall, it was a great experience with delicious food and excellent service that I would highly recommend to anyone craving authentic and tasty Indian cuisine.
