Pretty restaurant, nice service. Just wasn't a big fan of the dishes. The vegan curry looked like a juicy salsa, pretty liquidy compared to other Malaysian restaurants- we didnt realize it was curry. The beef rendang was okay.

The turmeric chicken was great, super crispy which we liked the most. The chicken satay had delicious flavor and tender. But the peanut sauce was unfortunately liquidy too.

I was really excited to try their Laksa since it's not a common dish to find in SF. I tried the Laksa for takeout for the first time and I was sadly very disappointed. The portion itself was pretty small for such a high priced soup, BUT I would have gladly paid it if the taste made up for it, as I understand it's a 2 day broth and takes a lot of effort.

For me, the broth was really watery, bland, not creamy at all and it didn't come with much noodles or toppings. Honestly I was really baffled and got my partner to try it too because I thought it might have even been a mistake or a fluke, but he agreed with me. After reading reviews it does sound like the laksa here can be a hit or miss. It pains me to give a negative review but hoping that it can be taken constructively!

The food was ok. What really upset me is days after I paid, I see they applied 33% tip to my bill. I distinctly remember applying 18% so this was a surprise. It’s sneaky and unfortunate, I will not be returning.

Went on a quiet weekday evening, got the taro cake, fish cake and beef randang—they were all very delicious. Highly recommended

Rare SF spot for Singaporean fare.

Had the chilli crab, laksa, otak otak and nasi lemak not pictured here

Nasi lemak was nice and portions were largely.

The crab and mantou rolls can be had here are only available in few places in the city that serve Singaporen chilli crab. The sauce was nice and tangy. We got the tamarind one not the pepper sauce but I think they have both.

The otak otak was ok.

Sambal was also ok.

The laksa was very bland. Not enough coconut milk in the broth.

Overall one or the few places to get Singaporean food in SF. But if you want a lower price point prefer Dabao Singapore.

Damansara is a great spot for Malaysian cuisine that hits all the right notes. The flavors are authentic and well-balanced, with generous portions that leave you satisfied. Service is friendly and welcoming, though it can get a little slow during peak hours. The atmosphere is cozy and casual

We love this amazing local Malaysian spot! Literally everything on the menu hits - we loveeee the cold greens, the stuffed roti, and the laksa noodle soup. They also have lots of unique cocktails, a great wine selection, and awesome Malaysian non alcoholic drinks. Perfect for a group of any size, you'll want to order everything and share.

From a Singaporean:
Nasi lemak fried chicken was good, sambal was decent, peanuts and ikan bilis could be more generous for the price. 4/5

Laksa gravy has decent spices but feels watered down, not rich or creamy. 3/5

Otah had lemongrass flavor but lacking spices and was too tough, more like a fish cake than the authentic otah. 2/5

Satay was alright, nothing special. But 3 tiny pieces of that for $14 seems kinda stingy. 3/5

Service was lacking. The server serving us could not even bring herself to smile and her face was so miserable and upset that it was obvious to all of us at the table. 0/5

Nice ambience and seats, there weren’t too many people when we went. 4/5

Too too expensive. It's crazy how they hike the prices.

Was looking forward to a solid Neighborhood gem but disappointed by their lack of flexible and friendly service. Strange. Actually came to check others’s reviews And saw the combative responses from the restaurant.
Menu is promising, flavor is ok.

Food was salty, low flavor and barely does justice to Malaysian food and flavors. Expensive! On a scale of 1(poor) -10(excellent), I give it a 6.

The food was pretty average tasting
The presentation itself was nice, but I don't care much about presentation, especially when the food burns a hole in my credit card. My favorite thing I had was their Bobo fried chicken. Seasoned well, and has nice crispy skin. The sauce it came with was also nice.
I also ordered their beef dish. That was so so for me. The taste was fine, but I didn't feel it warranted an extra premium over a chicken dish.
My friends ordered drinks. One of them was very middling, while the other looked very nice and tasted different from most things she'd ever had.
Overall, I won't be looking to come back here for a while.

an amazing Malaysian dinner .. OMG .. so good !!! Seems better & better than the time b4 and we thought the time b4 was the best !! And Taste as authentic as in Malaysia. Love the complex spice & sauces .. the heat is perfect & not watered down to accommodate the ‘weak’ palette! If u call urself a ‘foodie’ this is a must !
