Excellent pizza, the crust was a little under-cooked in some spots but not too charred on top which was a nice surprise (other neapolitan pizza spots insist on charring the crust and will not accommodate requests not to!). The crust here is well-labored and baked in a traditional brick oven; the taste was absolutely superb.
Not a fan of their dining room; a bit too cramped plus the outdoor dining area in the back can be way too cold even with the heat-lamps on.
They will gladly make substitutions if you're vegetarian or vegan; service was friendly and efficient!

Very disappointing pizza - the dough to topping ratio was off (too little dough, too much topping) and it was way too salty.
They also make you pay an additional 6% for employee benefits which was not disclosed upfront. This should not be a surprise on the bill, and should be baked into the food price.

oh my God this is my favorite favorite place, but I don’t know what happened to the management in the last few months has not served me well I was humiliated by the hostess and then I watched another couple their pizza spilt and they screamed at them. I was just. appalled

The customer service was not great; they didn’t check on me at all even though I needed water and more napkins. The only thing I liked was the atmosphere.

My wife and I have been coming to Damn Fine almost monthly since 2022, however last night will be our last time. In the past 6 months the service has been absolutely deplorable, starting with the hostess. She has been extremely unwelcoming and unaccommodating every time we come.
Typically we could get beyond this, but last night was the last straw. We were having our regular date night and seated at the low portion of the bar when I turn around and see that the hostess has replaced the stool next to me with a high chair. Next thing I know I’m sitting next to a screaming baby while the parents are sitting next to it but at the high portion of the bar. A BABY AT THE BAR?? This is absolutely unheard of. We choose to sit at the bar for a reason, and it’s not to sit next to a baby!
We were so appalled and couldn’t enjoy ourselves so we downed our drinks and left before ordering food. On the way out my wife asked the hostess if it’s typical for them to seat BABIES AT THE BAR. She said, “Yeah it’s something we’ve started doing. It’s something our manager is really reinforcing.” WOW.
The service here used to be top notch— welcoming, accommodating, professional, attentive. Even after it had gone downhill, the dining experience and food kept us coming back, but after last night we won’t be returning.

One of the best places out by the beach! Fantastic pizzas, extensive bar/wine/beer list and nice bar and indoor dining room. The rear outdoor patio is good for a quieter atmosphere and it's a relaxing spot. We had the Caesar salad, sausage & sage pizza & the alotta burrata pizza, everything was excellent. Recommend making reservations if you want to guarantee a table. They have a parklet, but there are no heat lamps and it gets a bit cold in this part of town at night.
Parking: Parking is not too bad on the surrounding blocks.

Had a misunderstanding during a pickup with one of the waiters at the restaurant. Sorted it out after chatting with the owners Laura/Collin at the restaurant. Pizza was incredible ! Nice Atmosphere !

This review is not about the food at Damn Fine, which I have really loved, but more about the manager. I had a party of 10 that I needed to accommodate, and after some back and forth along with an unpleasant phone call with Lauren, I chose to take my business to another restaurant, which offered a refreshing change in service. I recognize that Damn Fine is a small establishment and cannot host large groups without charging a private party rental fee, which honestly seems a bit excessive for a pizzeria. I ended up finding another establishment that was far more accommodating in busier bustling side of town. However, the main reason for this rating was my bad encounter with Lauren, who seemed to think that making a reservation there was a favor for me. I have never encountered such discourteous service from a managerial level. A suggestion for this restaurant: if individuals are going to represent your establishment, please ensure they are making others feel welcome to dine there.

DamnGood cocktails and delicious pizzas.
Been here twice now and can’t wait to visit again! First time was for dinner with friends. Second visit was with my kiddo and husband.
It’s great to have these hidden gems in the outer Sunset. The space feels expansive with exposed beamed ceiling, big windows and a large communal dining table in the middle. The pizza oven anchors the space and then there’s a hallway that leads to a back patio area. Great art in the walls, everything ties together to make it feel hip but also warm and inviting.
There’s a smallish bar with great light fixtures on the wall. The cocktail menu has great twists on classics like a coconut lime margarita (sublime!!) and old fashioned, and a coffee liqueur cocktail…the drinks are Damntasty!
The zucchini with curry dipping sauce is a sleeper hit. SO GOOD. Tiny little zukes roasted with spices and paired with a tasty creamy curry dipping sauce that I used to dip my slices in.
Pizzas are delicious-crust is chewy and crispy. Dad Jokes is fantastic with corn and tomatoes and the Acapulco is a spicy tangy salty dreamy. The classic pepperoni was divine and generously topped with little curled discs of meat. The Figgy Piggy is prosciutto and figs with arugula…fantastic
We also tried the bucatini with meatballs and it was surprisingly
delicious (sometimes places that focus on one thing like pizza can sometimes mess with other items, but this was not the case)
This will be a regular spot for me and my family as well as for a causal night out with my pals.
Make reservations because it can get busy! Outdoor seating is available as well.
Servers were very nice but sometimes they seemed overwhelmed or like one person was super busy and others weren’t? It didn’t put a damper on the experience but it was noticed… there were times we waited a bit long for our drinks and food and check..
I added more pics! Since I wrote this review we ate here again in the back patio and it was lovely!! Tried different cocktails and our son had bucatini (we asked for less sauce and it was perfect). This time, the service was still a bit lagging
Our server was hustling-and was attentive when she was present. I think the supporting crew has some opportunities to help out more (filling water, running plates, clearing plates etc.) things seemed uneven…
Drinks still took a long time or come out..my hubby got his before I got mine and I waited.
Parking is a hit or miss situation…you may find a spot a block or two away on busier days.

Damn Fine is a treasure for the Outer Sunset. It's wonderful and stylish neighborhood spots like this, that let us get out of our little homes and connect with our neighbors and greater community. Admittedly, esp on the weekends Damn Fine can be a little swamped by their own success, but the owners and team are always, always hustling, and we're so lucky to have great local business owners like them in our community. Just look at the way they respond to the reviews of the very, very few people who have a bad experience -- we all can have a tough night! We love it and it's a staple for us. If you dont know the Outer Sunset, this is a great way to get to know it. Thanks, Damn Fine!
