Delancey Street Restaurant

What happened to this place it used to be great service & food but this time it took way to long to even get a glass of tap water. We ended up being forgotten about a few times and then had 3 different servers who seem to take too long a time to get our drinks, food, dessert (their supposedly homemade pecan pie was awful) & coffee (30mins for drip coffee ridiculous). The restaurant was not even full so not sure what happened. I will have to try them again soon because I really hope it was just bad timing, a mis-baked pie & not having enough servers that made this lunch not so good!

Traveled an hour to just be turned away because they don't have the decency to list on their website ANYWHERE that they have a dress code. Got better service and actually got food from WOODBURY, a 10 minute walk away. They were great. Delancey had maybe four tables when our party of six walked in. Yeah we were not dressed for FINE DINING CASUAL. Nothing about your website or the description of your restaurant indicates that it is fine dining. Hell the most expensive thing on the menu is less than $20. We were looking for a place that had decently priced food and good drinks. Delancey IS NOT IT. Rude to turn away people dressed in TRUE casual clothing. Get over yourselves. Stuck up and rude.

The food was and the service was spectacular. I appreciate the amount of spacing in between each table. I came here for a celebration for my partner, and Terry and the staff made sure that it was a lovely experience for the group of seven people we were with.

I would gladly come back for the food or just stop by to get a quick refreshing drink, and I do plan to be back! The house made ginger beer, and the fresh squeezed orange juice were great.

I just moved to the area and I'm so happy to have discovered this place. Not only do they have a beautiful dining room and large patio, but they also allow dogs! Inside and out! They also brought them some ribs free of charge, what service!! That gives you 5 stars off the start. But the food was also super tasty and the prices are very inexpensive. I felt like I was in the 90's. I got the meatloaf and it was delicious! Highly highly recommend!

Excellent food and fantastic service. A beautiful place to have lunch or dinner.

This is a nice family restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating overlooking the inner Bay and the Bay Bridge close to the Embarcadero. The service is really good. The staff will help you out. The bread is really good. They serve wine, beer and cocktails. The menu has a good array of choices. I ordered the grilled salmon, prawns and, to my surprise pecan pie. Everything was as expected. I recommend the roast chicken. Anyway, if you want a lively and peaceful dining experience, chose this place!
