Stopped in for a beer before the baseball game. The crew are literally a team. My glass was never empty and they were super nice. You could tell a lot of patrons knew the staff and it felt like a local hangout. EVERYONE was buying game day food here.
Would have been 5 stars if the guy taking good orders wasn’t a complete massive j**** There was a very long line and we figured we’d check the menu online to be prepared. Ordered fish and chips and he nastily informed us they didn’t have that, so we looked at the paper menu on the counter. He then copped an attitude about not being prepared instead of letting us try to order. We had such a positive and welcoming experience! We were greeted by good music and the smell of delicious food. We told the bartender that we were only in SF for one night and he went out of his way to give us a list of his favorite places to bar hop for the night. The clam chowder was also very good. We just had beers, but there is a craft cocktail list. Such a great way to start our trip, and we will be back!
