Food was excellent and the service was good. We had the tuna crudo, the chicken and pancetta agnolotti, and the langherino bottone, the cauliflower with pesto calabrese, as well as the panna cotta for dessert. The first four were excellent, and the dessert was good. The bottone was delightfully umami. The agnolotti was chewy and complex. And the tuna crudo was fresh, and dressed with a little beat of heat and piquancy. The pesto was on the cauliflower was tasty and complex. A very nice evening.
Delfina has changed since our last time dining there about a year ago. Pizza was a major item on the menu; now it is almost gone. The patas also seem more limited. While the quality of the dishes is very good, the variety is lessened. Our server was excellent, informative and attentive. Having eaten a week ago at Che Fico in San Francisco I would not recommend Delfina over that restaurant.
First time back since they re-opened, and it was a delightful evening. The food was consistently delicious, and the service friendly and attentive (including the pace at which our courses were served). Highly recommend
Delfina never disappoints— I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE 💕 this restaurant! Friendly staff and simply delicious dishes. The chicory salad and the spaghetti pomodoro are standouts 🙌🏽
Food was superb — everything, and we tried a lot. Ambience conducive to a great evening with friends. A stand-out. Will return when next in San Francisco.
We love Delfina for all of the right reasons. Our server was great and very informative. The only issue we had was the noise level... we had to lean over our table to hear each other... not sure if there is anything that can be done about that though! The meal... was excellent!
Very nice environment. Staff was friendly and professional. We really enjoyed the quality of the food.
The food continues to be outstanding, with one of our party declaring that this was the best pizza he's ever had (after coming in saying he didn't want pizza because he was tired of it). In addition to the pizza, the four of us shared 2 wonderful pastas (Paccheri Neri with crab and the agnolotti), some wonderful chard, and a Panna Cotta). We left happy. Our only complaint was that the music was too loud and we had trouble hearing each other and the waiter. But everyone was friendly and the evening was lovely.
We had a lovely evening out for dinner. The Insalata di Campo was excellent, as was the Paccheri Nero with Dungeness Crab. We were not wowed with the Spaghetti Pomodoro feeling it was just ok. We also really enjoyed the Pavlova.

Firstly, Willa was our server and was well-informed of the menu and really cared about curating a lovely meal for the two of us. Secondly, the food was inspired and very tasty. Chicken liver crostini and their version of Ribolleta (stew) were highlights. You can tell the chef and kitchen taste their food to ensure excellence. that doesn't seem to be a given anymore. Thirdly, the charm of the space is just right. casual, yet viby with a crowd that also seems happy to be there and ready to enjoy some yumminess. Great Mission District option. Bonus: seemed to be a reasonable amount of parking spaces if you are driving.
First time here and I will be back!! The pizza was exceptional as well as the pastas and the octopus was supposed to be a shared plate in the group, but I ate it all myself! This will become a standard for me when I visit San Francisco going forward!

Always a treat to dine at Delfina. Being dining here since they first opened. Food is excellently prepared, carefully plated and served by a well trained staff. Knowledgeable and professional. Can't wait to be back again. To be consistently on target all these decades is tribute to Delfina team👌
Lovely experience. Delicious food and service. It's a real neighborhood gem. It was my son's birthday and they even ‘unretired' their saffron arancini for us (we often go to their more casual pac heights location for these). The crab pacceri neri was to die for. I also loved the salt cod (much lighter than most places) and the octopus (which was perfect).
We had an amazing server who recommended delicious cocktails and entrees. It was a wonderful date night and we will definitely be back!
