One of my favorite places in the city. I've been coming here since they opened. The food and service continues to exceed expectations. Love this place!
We have been going to Delfina since they opened 25 years ago. Delfina is our favorite go to restaurant. Never disappoints. Last nights dinner for Restaurant Week from the set menu was outstanding. I would like to eat it all again tonight. Great service and lively atmosphere. Highly recommend.
One must be careful when bestowing ‘the best' on anything. There is no better than best!! And that defines Delfina. Consistently amazing food, great service with super attentiveness. Always crowded and noisy, but it wonderfully fits the ambience. The menu always has unique offerings to be found nowhere else. Delfina is the best restaurant in San Francisco in my opinion. Want to dazzle someone? Take them to Delfina.
We benefited from a near-flawless SF Restaurant Week prix fixe menu. Everything was great. Maybe the best hangar steak I've had in my life. It was... that good. My partner also LOVED the special squash dish. Both deserve a spot on your regular menu.
From a minute, you walk into the menu you walk out the service and the food and everything is absolutely wonderful
Fantastic dinner/evening at Delfina's. The reviews led us here and our dinner/experience will bring us back. We wanted a neighborhood place with really good, authentic Italian food. From the hostess (oh how I wish her name! 10/27 @6pm.) She set the tone for what was to come. Justin, our server, had a kindness and genuineness that will be remembered. The drinks and food were delicious. See you soon!
Delfina was absolutely divine! I had the Pappardelle & Duck Sugo (orange gremolata), and tried the Ricotta Cavatelli (lamb meatballs, dandelion greens) and literally did a little dance of joy when I tasted each. I could happily eat either dish for the rest of my life! We also shared Pane a Pala with Delfina ricotta and dried tomatoes; Warm Castelvetrano Olives. For dessert Affogato Corretto (fior di latte gelato, moka pot espresso,
Margerum amaro, almond cantucci) and Cocoa Nib Pavlova (caramel gelato, warm chocolate sauce, hazelnuts).
Every single dish that touched my lips was such an enjoyable experience. The staff was amazing, the atmosphere was amazing, and there was a line down the sidewalk waiting for the restaurant to open even though we all seemed to have reservations. This is absolutely a restaurant that needs to be on your bucket list if you're a foodie!
Thank you for the joyful experience, and I hope I get to come back in the future! If not, feel free to branch out to Bowling Green, KY!

Consistently good over the last 15 years or so. Definitely up there as one of the best places to get Italian style pizza in SF. The billing is a bit shady, especially if you are not a local, and they really should add the worker tax into the cost so people are not surprised by it. Until they do this, they will continue to have upset customers and bad reviews.

Average restaurant. The food wasn’t tasty. Adding the service fee (SF mandate) to the bill was really unnecessary.

It was amazing as always! This was a business dinner, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Some took photos since they loved the plating so much. I'm sure you will see positive reviews coming from the rest of my party.

We love Delfina! Last night was a celebration of a birthday and the team at Delfina helped make it really special. We had a booth, which we love and is so good for conversation. Drinks, food, a candle at the end of the meal, all perfect. Thank you!
We relied on our server's recommendations and I'm glad we did. I would never have thought that butter curls and anchovies were a good pairing, but they are. It was a delicious starter. My husband had the short ribs and loved them. I had the spaghetti pomodoro, which was the server's recommendation that confirmed my own inclination. We had the Del Campo salads, also a lovely addition. I loved the atmosphere too. I watched the crowds walk by through the big window behind the bar while my husband looked for parking and I sipped prosecco. Lovely.
Delfina never rests on their laurels. In fact I think last night was the best mean I've had there and that says a lot! From day 1 this place got it all right (food, ambiance, cocktails, staff) and all these years later they still have it. Without ever being pretentious or stuffy, this place exudes a sexy and sophisticated feel. GO NOW!
My first time at this venerable Mission institution and it did not disappoint! Excellent food, service, vibe.
Was fine - service took ages, we caught their eyeline and still didn't come back Food was good - little expensive
