Amazing find! Quick counter service or grab and go items available (bento, rice balls, bowls / donburi). Selection features many classic Japanese flavors using local ingredients.Combinations vary or you can pick out items à la carte, but everything is worth it and delicious. We got combos and added items to have a feast that did not break the bank. Our meals easily could have cost $30.I highly recommend the agedashi tofu (veg main), mapo eggplant salad (with chicken or the vegetarian version), potato croquette, shrimp cake (huge but with whole shrimps and cooked to perfection). I would definitely return to try out their curry ? options (beef or mushroom) and possibly any seasonal changes.Service was amazing with all condiments and utensils provided with proper packaging. Service was quick despite a slight lunch weekday rush.No seating in the space itself, but plenty of shared outdoor tables or a few chairs near windows inside near Cholita Linda.Vegetarian options: At least one vegetarian salad (Japanese side dish), soup, or main available. On my visit, they were vegetarian mapo eggplant salad (possibly other options, I did not look closely at selection), ginger carrot soup, and agedashi tofu main (cold tofu with soy based and mushroom sauce). Mushroom curry was also available.

I got the assorted sushi bento with a potato croquette on the side. All the food tasted great and fresh. I really enjoyed the salmon poke, which was flavorful and had an amazing texture, the chicken dumpling, and the potato croquette. The workers were super nice and service was quick. I will definitely be back again. :)

Got the spicy burdock, hijki and soybean, and pork cutlet. Super fresh and filling, definitely worth $15. Would recommend and will be back to try other items on the menu

Honestly the beef curry is amazing but this place such a hit and miss. Some days they are generous with the beef other days like today. Two pieces of small beef cubes, two potatoes and a massive mountain amount of rice. $14-$15 for curry soup and rice is not worth it.

What a great location! Delicious food and fast service. The biggest obstacle is everything looks so good. I've tried most of the items and they are fresh and great tasting.

They serve legit Japanese food saying this as a Japanese native. Their food is more of everyday Japanese food that we eat in Japan ! My favorite Japanese food deli in SF ! Their onigiri rice balls remind me of my mum’s !

My absolute favorite lunch place downtown. Don't be scared of the line as it moves really really quick. The lunch plates are just so good, fresh, and healthy. I try to get something new everytime. But, my favorite is literally all the salads especially the soybean salad and the burdock root salad.

It's not a sit-down get-served restaurant so stop the tacky guilt-tipping when all you do is hand me my expensive food. Just be glad I'm there to support your business in the middle of inflation. Food is great but your guilt-tipping is killing the vibe.

The options are almost overwhelming, but everything I had was delicious. You can’t go wrong with any of those choices. I had the hijiki salad, carrot and ginger soup, potato croquettes, and pork tonkatsu. There was a long line at lunch time, but it moves fast. The portions you receive are very generous. I’d love to come back and try more things.

Overall cost: $$ The agedashi tofu steak had a sweet sauce that went well with the mushrooms on top! It also had a small layer of a fried yet soft texture. $6 is a bit pricey for it though. It comes out cold, so I tried a bite but then took it home to put it in the microwave. Tbh I prefered the texture of the tofu & it's outer layer cold! The ginger beef rice ball was so good! Sweet sauce with decent beef pieces inside the rice ball. ($3) The service was great! The cashier was very nice & attentive to us.

Delica always hits the spot for me when it comes to their Mabo Eggplant Salad. The added bonus is getting a Bento box along with it for $15, so I ordered the Pork Cutlet, Mabo Eggplant Salad & Spicy Burdock Salad with an added Potato Croquette for $3.My second new found favorite besides the Mabo Eggplant Salad is now the Spicy Burdock Salad. Quite opposite from the eggplant's soft texture, is the crunchy Burdock root which is comprised of Burdock Root, Kinnyako(yam) tossed w/thinly sliced onion, celery, carrot & mixed greens. The flavor is just enough to satisfy my palate, but the crunch is what keeps me wanting more. Delica is my go to place & because everything is prepared in trays, it makes eating in a rush pretty efficient.
