I waited for 35 minutes, but the food was not ready and was not served to me, and the manager there had no manners or style of speaking.

The food is great. Like in Nepal.
Two TVs with different music each is not best idea.

Was visiting San Francisco from the UK and discovered this gem of a restaurant for dinner. Best chana masala I've ever tasted, generous portions, Excellent value for money, polite and attentive owner who kindly served the food. Would definitely recommend.

We ordered the thali and eggplant curry and aloo paratha and all were made very well. The overall quality and taste of the food was great, and the owner was very friendly and welcoming.

Got a thali with chicken from Diya! Large portions and came with a choice of meat along with rice, salad, and daal. Also great vibes for a social lunch or dinner and friendly service!

If you don't know anything about Indian food than you should go there. Did a takeaway and supposed to be a Yellow Dal Tadka but turned out to be something else. Dal tadka is the most simple of all dishes and if this isn't right than I cannot risk trying other main dishes. But no, not again and I wouldn't recommend Diya restaurant to anyone. Save your bucks and try out other alternates.

One thing is certain, it is that this restaurant does not skimp on the portions, which will satisfy even the biggest appetites.
As for the cuisine, regulars of Indian and Sri Lankan restaurants will be on familiar ground. Dhal, Alo Gobi, tandoori, nans and thalis. But also fried noodles more common in the north, all in xxl portions.
The only downside is a bit too much pepper everywhere. And yet in general that doesn't stop us.
