I've had Bahn Mis (and so far, only bahn mis) from DragonEats many times, usually alternating between the 5 spice chicken and roast pork with both being fantastic. Today I had the roast duck bahn mi for the first time and oh man was it good! Mine was loaded with duck, cilantro and jalapenos with probably just a little too much of the sweet sauce. Someone else mentioned not having an option online to reduce it - I'm sure you could put it in the notes at the end but I got it without modifications for my first time and was very happy, especially at the $12 base price! There's always a line around lunchtime and since it's takeout only anyway, order online to cut down on the wait.

If you see a bunch of people crowding around a small shop waiting for their food, you know it's gonna be good!! I go to DragonEats whenever I want a quick, delicious bite during work. Their banh mis are very delicious, with the perfect amount of pickled veggies and pate. You really can't find a better $10 lunch in SoMa!

I waited maybeBad:- No seating, just takeout so you need to eat somewhere nearbyOverall would come again! This place has a lot of simple options and feels really healthy too.

Very tasty sandwiches. Combo Packed with flavor. No on-site seating. Priced a bit on the high side at $12, 5 stars if it were under $10 per sandwich or the price included a side of chips or a drink.

I tried dragon eats for an order in lunch in a work meeting. I tried the pork bowl, which was good, but not very filling. I should have tried the banh mi sandwiches, they looked amazing.

Eat here about once a month. It's one of the cheapest food options ($10) around the area. I usually get the roasted pork sandwich which is delicious.

Thanks to my fellow Yelpers for leading us here! What a great place for a delicious, inexpensive Vietnamese lunch! We came here intending to grab lunch to go and enjoy in the nearby Salesforce Park. Good thing that was our plan because there is currently no seating here. We placed our order with a cashier near the front door and didn't have to wait too long before it was ready. I had the Teriyaki Tofu Banh Mi sandwich and it was overflowing with fresh ingredients! Shredded carrots, cucumber, daikon, cilantro, jalapeño, and yummy tofu! The bread was perfectly crunchy, too! My husband ordered the Shrimp Fresh Rolls and asked for soy sauce. He loved it but wished he had their peanut sauce to go along with it, too. This place is understandably popular so you can expect a line but it moves pretty quickly. I wish we had one here in Reno!

Friend had recommended their roast duck banh mi but every time I walked by they had sold out of them, so today I called them in advance to check if they had any and placed a pick up order online. Roast duck banh mi - thinly shredded duck meat that is overpowered by the sweet orange sauce. Sadly no option on the side to reduce sweet sauce or place it on the side. Wish they had more stuffing inside, pretty barebones. Chicken avo rolls - the thinnest shredded chicken breast in these rolls (almost non existent - see pic). Taste was ok, nothing stood out - mostly some lettuce and noodles. Wouldn't pay $10 for these again.

The food is always delicious but the customer service was terrible I went to place an order for me and my coworkers and the cashier was so rude about it he kept reminding me to NEVER come and do a big order during lunch, it was very embarrassing for me and my colleague. Once we picked up our order he kept reminding us, this was very upsetting.

My favorite banh Mi Sandich in San Francisco. I have tried the pork and five spice chicken and you can't go wrong. The five spice chicken is so tender and flavorful and is my go to. The veggies are great as welll. Definitely recommend

Delicious banh mi spot on FiDi. There are a variety of meats for banh mi and also salads. If you don't like spice, I would ask for no jalapeños. The wait around lunch time will be around 20 min. There are no seating option, it's to-go.

I can’t stop buying the roast pork sandwich. That with an iced coffee is

Good and service was great. Take out only at this particular location. I got the roasted duck banh mi.m and the Vietnamese coffee. Colleague got the roasted pork banh mi. He said it was delicious. Sandwiches were all around $10. Very filling though.

DragonEats is this cool spot right at the bottom of a fancy apartment building in San Francisco. Let me tell you, they serve up some seriously good Vietnamese food at prices that won't make your wallet cry. I totally dug their Five Spice Chicken Banh Mi and the Roasted Pork Banh Mi--flavors that hit the spot! What really got me excited was the portion size; for just 10 bucks, you're getting a satisfying meal, and in San Francisco, that's quite the steal. Here's the scoop though: there's no seating inside, so it's a grab-and-go situation. Plan ahead and order through their website to save time, especially if you're in a rush. Despite the lack of indoor space, DragonEats nails it when it comes to delivering tasty, budget-friendly Vietnamese bites. Plus, being in a posh apartment building's bottom floor adds a unique vibe to the whole experience. If you're cruising around SF and craving some top-notch banh mi without spending a fortune, DragonEats should definitely be on your food radar.
