The service attitude is very poor. It's like I owe him millions of dollars when I buy ice cream there. There is no basic service. After I asked for ice cream, there was no response. Just a stern face. There was no response when I paid the bill. Bad review
Fun place on pier 39. Lots of options. Recommend
Great ice cream and great service!
The ice cream here is very good but it is very expensive as the same time. It was $15 for two single scoop cones. I got the chocolate peanut butter which is chocolate ice cream with peanut butter fudge chunks. It was one of my favorite ice cream flavors I’ve had in a while. The service here is very quick as well. I would definitely recommend this place and would return.
Was just there. I was looking for Dreyer,s and was sure this was the location. The sign was like the one Dreyer's had. What happened to Dreyer's? The pistachio cone I had did not have that strong pistachio taste I am used to.
Expensive and not very good customer service but it's good
Located at the entrance of Pier 39,good selection of ice cream, hardworking staff
If the hair we found in both of our ice-creams was ours then we rate it 3 stars, if it was theirs 1.5 stars.
Aside from human error, Lapperts is your average run of the mill ice-cream shop that sports your average flavors. Nothing to write home about, although it is a little surprising considering it’s on the iconic Pier 39 and could really have something special going for it.
There used to be a time where there was a Dough’P location at the Pier and THAT was an experience. (All you cookie connoisseurs would have died a pleasant cookie dough death. Alas, their location has moved.)
I digress. The signage to Lapperts is adorable and the inside is bright and cheery as any ice cream place should be. For $15 I feel we are paying for ice-cream simply because it’s on Pier 39 and not because it’s that decadent. The workers were efficient but lacked the sort of enthusiasm needed in a creamery shop meant for joy. My husband withered under The thousand yard death stare while ordering his coffee chip cream in a cone. Needless to say, they are not here for any of your shenanigans. (A side note here: we were and are always the height of proper manners. Retail work is hard and I don’t say that ironically).
It was a hot day and the line was big so that’s why I decided to try some. Very crowded but somehow they could manage so many people. The ice cream is good and enjoyable in sunny days.
Great service, awesome ice cream, huge selection.

The sign for this ice cream shop is super cute, and the colorful display definitely catches our attention. The lychee flavor has frozen lychee meat in it, but quite mild, more like vanilla ice cream with lychee syrup. The strawberry flavor is pretty average, nothing special . We also tried the pistachio, which, again, didn’t have a strong nutty flavor. Good things is all the three flavors what we have are perfect sweetness.
The chocolate waffle cone is very crispy and freshly made.
Overall, the taste is decent, but at $9 per scoop, it feels a bit overpriced.
Pros: Kids loved the huge portions. Large selection of different and unique flavors. There’s tropical island flavors. The lychee was yummy. Cons: Price — it’s Fisherman’s Wharf! The ice cream is tasty, but not “the best I’ve ever had.”
The smell of the waffle cones was what brought us in. There was another ice cream stand a little done but because of the smell, we thought we would try it. It was just OK. Was expensive. $8.75 for one scope. The ice cream was supposed to be macadamia nut but there were no nuts in there. The staff seemed like they were not interested in being there. Not a place we would go to again should we be back in the area.
Lack of taste.
We m tried the Coconut Macadamia Nut flavor. It was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor—absolutely delicious. However, the price felt a bit steep for the portion size. Worth a try if you're in the mood to splurge on a treat.
