Anytime we come to San Francisco we stop at this place. The food is amazing!! It is definitely one of the best dumpling houses we have been to. A must try for anyone who lives or travels to SF.

Food is INCREDIBLE. The black truffle fried rice, garlic pea sprouts, and chili oil boiled pork dumplings were amazing. The servers are very friendly and attentive and the whole place is cute, clean, and well-maintained. Highly recommend to check out!!

I recently found this place and went here, food is so good, it's a small place I was lucky that we got a seat because I put myself on onwait when they opened but when I got out it was packed. Hell yeah! The dumplings are so bloody good, kid approved! Their shrimp fried rice was delish! Ambiance is pretty ok. Nothing good or bad. I'd not go here for amibiance but only for food.I loved the shumais and bar gows. Both were eout of the world.

We ordered their Shanghai style pork XLB, crab and pork XLB, pan-fried pot stickers, and the steamed pork and cabbage dumplings. We were low-key shocked by the size of their pot stickers and steamed pork and cabbage dumplings - they're bigger than average lol. The pork XLBs came out great... no issues with the broth! However, can't say the same about the crab and pork dumplings. The flavors were there but the broth wasn't.This place was very busy the day before Chinese New Year's. The staff still managed and took care of everyone though!

Delicious! We had steamed pork dumplings, fried pork dumplings, chow mein, and salt and pepper ribs. The food was fresh and tasty, the atmosphere good, and it's in a cool neighborhood.

Every time I take people there they are so happy. The fried dumpling is king. They make one of the best hot & Sour soups in the city. They make THE best Mongolian beef. The soup dumplings were kind of dry this time, but never have been before. We came at the very end of the night. Their green beans are good too. In fact everything. And huge portions too. You'll think you can never eat it but it's so yummy you can't stop

Such amazing dumplings - and the food is always fresh! Get the spare ribs, the pan fried dumplings, and the yummy dry fried green beans! The soup dumplings are delicious, and the price is very reasonable!

Great food. We drive from 3 cities over just to eat here and it is worth it. Steamed buns are amazing! Flavoring of food is good. Not bland like some Asian restaurants.

The restaurant overall provided high quality food and service, but it wasn't everything I was hoping for. We arrived on a Monday night right when they opened at 5:00 pm. We were the first people through the door, so we were seated right away. Within several minutes, other diners started to trickle in. I imagine that it gets fairly busy during the peak hours. We looked over the options of the menu and ended up ordering the chili wontons, vegetable chow mein, spring rolls, and Shanghai steamed dumplings. The flavor for everything was very good. The chow mein was subtle, but it's the perfect complement to the main entrees. The chili wontons were huge and had a good level of spice them. Either I had the Shanghai steamed dumplings confused with Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) or they forgot to added the cubed broth to the dumplings before steaming them. The wrapper and meat were a great ratio and thickness, but there was no burst of umami soup. I don't want to fault them too much in case I was mistaken, but based on the folds and the Shanghai-style reference, I assumed they were soup dumplings. In general, I'd say the food was very good and reasonable for the price. The service was nice and they have a lot to offer. If Xiao Long Baos aren't a priority when going for dim sum or Chinese, then this would be a fantastic choice for you. Food: 8.1/10 (if those were supposed to be soup dumplings: 6.4/10) Service: 7.8/10 Location: 7.3/10 Environment: 7.9/10

We arrived Sunday evening around 730pm. Taravel isn't known for their abundant parking so I would prepare for some searching. We were seated quickly and the service was fast-fast. I'm not one to be very expressive, so I am amazed as they read my mind when it came to needs with water, bill, napkins, etc. The food was great! The dumplings are fantastic with a good balance of filling compared to skin. Soup dumplings came piping hot as this place is amazingly consistent. Overall, great spot for some comfort food. Fair priced and great atmosphere to eat in.

This is one of our favorite dim sum places -- low key and delicious. Try the BBQ pork buns for a surprising and delightful unusual flavor addition!
