Came for a casual lunch, pretty disappointed tbh. The hot and sour soup had so much black pepper that it was pretty much inedible! i love spicy food but this was very one dimensional and flat with heat that kills all the other flavors!
Shanghai pan fried pork baos were ok… standard, nothing to rave about…
Won’t be coming back here.
Out of all the dumpling places in the city, this place is among one of the best. And I can even say it’s better than dumpling home at Hayes valley. Potsticker and Shengjianbao are extremely juicy and fresh. The big plate pork ribs is phenomenal. Price is extremely good for the city. Highly recommend!!!!
We were actually going somewhere else that ended up closing for the day after we drove to that side of town, and looked in Google for an alternative and came across this gem. The dumplings were spectacular, the pea shoots, also great and we got hot and sour soup which was yummy and very peppery, which was a bit different, but great none the less.
