I would come in more often if I wasn’t given the stink eye every time for not replying in Spanish. Sorry, I’m not Latina!!! Food is good, though, not complaining about that. I just expect to be looked at dirty when they ask me something in Spanish and I’m like “I’m sorry, what?”
El Pollo Supremo its chicken is char-broiled de la parrilla after marinated overnight (I hope they still do) with the secret Mexican family recipe of Robert Alvarez who opened first in Oxnard then expanded to the Bay Area and East Coast with his associates (*Cuban flavor kicked in 🤔) I have known this place on Geneva since late 90s but have been absent for about a decade until recently. Think of this as non-chain El Pollo Loco with more variety of food such as fish. I really like the no-frill feel of the place and when you pay for your meal they don't have the stupid tip amount most other restaurants do when you pay with credit card.

The chicken is tender and reasonably priced. My main problems are 1. They need to develop some sauce for the chicken because the only sauce they have now is salsa which is not optimal for the chicken. The...
