There is no restaurant here anymore. Strictly a takeout joint and ghost kitchen.

Stopped by Ella's for Breakfast on the recommendation of the bellman at my hotel. Ordered the Polk Street Omelet with fresh fruit and a side of chicken apple bacon. Everything was very fresh and delicious. Even the coffee was good (and I drink a lot of coffee). Ella's , a sweet older lady, was busy helping serve the customers. Definitely recommend Ella's American Kitchen for a yummy breakfast spot!

Totally pleased with this place for breakfast. We've waited in line before but it was just taking too long to get in. While we are fans of Mama's on Washington, this was a great place to stop since the wait was not very long. The menu has so many delicious and hearty offerings. The service was fast and friendly. I highly recommend the French toast with fruit. The coffee was robust and not the least bit bitter.

We stopped here after seeing City Hall during our Big Bus Tour. The food was excellent and the wait staff very friendly! Would highly recommend stopping by if you’re a hungry traveler.

Avocado omelette was truly a taste to behold! All the fixings were on point to include their house made lemonade.

The price was so friendly, and it made us amazed. We decided to visit this place again with our friends. Thanks a lot!

What happened to the real Ellas? I ordered food online and discovered that it had moved. When I went to pick up it was a Burmese restaurant that seemed to be making orders for 4 different restaurants. None of the employees were wearing their masks correctly and were very unhelpful.

Pat's was a brunch stop before we headed to the airport. The restaurant was nice in letting us place our orders while still waiting for a table and then pull together a few tables to accommodate our group of 6 and our tight timeline. The food was solid - I loved my California Crepe and Ghirardelli hot chocolate!

Cute cafe in a quiet part of the neighborhood. We got our food to go. I got a Nutella crepe and an iced mocha. Total was around $20, which i thought was pricey considering how small the meal was and it was to-go. The coffee was good, though, and the crepe was ok. It tasted more like a dumpling with nutella. It was pretty plain with only a bit of whipped cream to accompany it.

brunch, mmm, so delicious. Got there about two, it was not packed. Next time I'll be back with my coworkers. The bill was fair for the quality of the food. Atmosphere is like a restaurant in Fort Worth I loved.

Not meant for outdoor dining, and the food quality was inconsistently below average and average. The outside is next to busy and noisy Van Ness. There are two small tables with two chairs each. They’re tightly up against the restaurant with little room to move. The food itself was fine. However, it came in to-go packaging (tinfoil, paper, plastic, etc.) not actual plates or silverware. We had pancakes and an omelette. The kitchen gave us white toast instead of whole wheat and put cheese in the omelette even though we asked for none. The pancakes were fine, but since this was all to-go packaging, we were given a small cup of syrup that was not enough for the short stack we ordered. The plastic utensils they did give us did not include a knife. So I ate my pancakes with a fork and spoon. The omelette was average, but the potatoes that came with it were good. The bread was low quality and didn’t feel toasted but fried and greasy. Additionally, we ordered sparking water thinking it would be a small glass or can. Instead we got an overpriced $9 bottle. The food price (besides the sparking water) is average for San Francisco pricing. However, you can get a lot better food for the same price anywhere else. I wouldn’t come here again, especially for dine-in.
