Reopened as an HK-style Cafe + dessert place. Fills a gap in the neighborhood!

I called for a delivery order and they were extremely rude and hung up. We were very faithful patrons for over 10 years until this incident. Unfortunately, they lost a good customer. Such a pity.

News flash, no more Emmy's that had the Chinese dishes we came up with. The revamped menu is comprised of Sago (yummy deserts) soups, noodles and salads. I ordered the beef borsch, Udon and Shrimp Avocado salad (substituted shrimp w/ chicken). I will mosdef miss the Walnut Prawns but look forward to the additions. The service was pleasant and accommodating at the end of the shift prior to closing. It also has a new setting, new tables and modern Asian music in the speakers. All in all I will be going back for the sampler platter and Sago.

Hmm. went there today and place was dark and boarded up. The signature green awning was not present and there was a pink one so I thought I was at the wrong place. Please tell me this place didn't close!

I keep ordering ridiculously overpriced hot and sour soup hoping one day I will get the seafood/bbq pork/mushroom spicy goodness I am used to in Toronto and I’m here, once again, disappointed. But at least this one has SOME meat (maybe pork?) but not spicy AT ALL. tastes like water but I added 1.5tablespoons of sriracha and now it’s okay…. Honey walnut prawns were fresh and yummy but at $19, more than $1/shrimp with this tiny portion size. Chicken chow mein is hilariously bad. Chicken wings $13 for 5 wings…. But happy they packed sauce on the side so still crispy to eat and made it a bit of a fun eating experience. ALSO I could use the sauce to pour in the chow mein to make it edible. Great!! But tell me, Why is San Francisco Chinese food so bad?!?!? Help!!! Who are these people giving five star reviews?! This food was edible, fresh and well-packaged for delivery, but far from what I would call “good”.

Delivery took over 2 hours; they answered the phone 10% of the time we called; food arrived cold; food tasted bad; customer service was horrible (when they did decide to answer the phone)… Surprisingly difficult to get good Chinese food in the SF/DC area these days. Don’t eat here.

Worst food ever!!! Don't eat here. I ordered fry rice and was flavorless, beef and broccoli was disgusting amd egg rolls where undercook. I spent $40 on delivery.

Tonight our food was below standard. Shrimp was fishy, they had no walnuts, portion very tiny, salt and pepper short ribs were mainly bone and the were chow mein was extremely salty. Never had this experience at Emmys.

I’ve been going to emmys for years and the quality of the food is probably some of the best in San Francisco.I’m still giving it a good review because the original owner was one of the most kindest people as far as a business owner, but since his children have taken over they no longer do inside dining and the customer service is very unfriendly and poor.
