Work colleagues ( group of 10 ) made a reservation. Chef came to our table and asked about any dietary restrictions then had us put away the menus and proceeded to send us plates of food (his choosing). Every plate catered to the 10 of us and we cleaned them all. Amazing food and everyone said they would recommend this place. It is on our “return to” list when we come back to SF.
I got Mapo Tofu and asked for a little extra spicy. Apparently that means to them to dump a bucket of sichuan peppercorn, that didn't make it spicy just kinda numbing with that acid after taste when to much is used. I thought it odd that it didn't include white rice so that was an upcharge. The egg rolls were okay but it was more of a thick spring roll because of the smooth outer shell, also I thought it was odd that they cut them up and poured honey mustard I just...
Went with a larger group and the chefs selection menu was exactly the right choice. Dumplings, wontons, pork buns and more for appetizers. Then a constant stream of various shareable entrees from Sichuan chicken to fish and broccoli.
