Absolutely blown away by this sushi spot. It’s a hidden gem with the perfect mix of cozy romantic ambiance and truly top tier sushi. The lighting is soft and intimate which makes it ideal for a date night or a quiet evening to treat yourself.
The nigiri is next level. Fresh, delicate, and full of flavor. I highly recommend sitting at the bar and letting the chef choose a few pieces for you if you’re open minded.
Because of the chef I discovered that I absolutely LOVE Horse Mackerel Nigiri, Kutuso, and Shima Aji. These were things I probably never would have picked on my own but now I can’t stop craving them.
Every piece felt like it was crafted with care and precision. You can really taste the passion and expertise behind each bite.
Already dreaming about my next visit. Easily one of my favorite sushi experiences in the Mission.

Will never be returning. Terrible service.
We were seated at the back of the restaurant and completely forgotten — our order didn’t arrive for over 45 minutes. Despite multiple reminders, the staff made no effort to expedite it. Instead, they offered us some subpar jerky “on the house,” which was honestly one of the worst I’ve ever had, while we continued to wait for our delayed meal.
One of the worst $175+ I’ve ever spent in my life.

This is real fresh sushis with real crabs and premium fishes.
I particularly like the rice.
Any special order, ask Georges who is the chef owner and very accommodating.
Always a pleasure to come there.

After living in Tokyo for many years, I've struggled to find comparable Japanese food in SF... until I discovered this gem! It's the best Japanese food -- especially the nigiri omakase, miso walu, oxtail soup, flame torched saba (mackeral), and more. Wonderful service and chic izakaya ambiance. I'd give it 6 stars if I could!

It was great, not many places are great at both sushi (omakase format) and Izakaya food.
They pull it off, and deserves its current 4.8. If it’s not already, it should be a bib.
One of the better Udons I’ve had and the nigiri had the right rice <> fish combo, the fish was excellent, and the rice was cooked right. I can get detailed and say that I think the temperature of the rice could be optimized, but then we’re talking about making something already fantastic into an even higher level.
Overall, great, and good service too.
Don’t always leave reviews, but def check this out.
The quintessential neighborhood sushi spot with a bonified Izakaya as well.

Incredible, personalized experience sitting at the sushi counter. This spot is a hidden gem and some of the best omakase we’ve had. The blue shrimp omakase, halibut, and scallop app were favorites. 10/10

Always come here for their Oxtail Pot, highly recommended for any soup lovers! Nigiris are great but not that overwhelming. Compared to other Omakase places in the city, I feel that the rice is typically too seasoned with soy sauce so might be a little salty. Wouldn’t recommend the squid karage as it’s too greasy (from multiple experiences). Anyway still loving their warm, romantic vibe overall! Great for dates or catchup with friends.

Overall satisfied but I went there for the maki/rolls, and they no longer make them despite being advertised on their website. Sashimi are very expensive...
Restaurantji Recommends
Show up 45 minutes before closing and if you’re from Browntown, the sushi chef will tell you that they’re just closing up….. then the waitress will step in and say No sit down-
And you say no way – after all if the chef doesn’t want you there why would you eat there?
They probably made enough money already🤣
I’m not gonna go back
6.5 maybe 7 but give it another try because prob didn’t order the best
This place is the best!!

Best sushi in sf, so fresh. Couldn’t recommend more, they do a mini dunbari bowl, my favorite.
