Doesn't look attractive, can't be a trained Japanese sushi chef as ingredients are too big, veined, poorly cut, poorly assembled, appear not well cleaned, poorly plated, I'm Japanese-American with a sushi chef nephew.
I love this place and it's been consistently delightful over a dozen or so visits. Excellent sushi and lovely staff.

Completely disappointed! Chicken teriyaki was overcooked and dry, and it definitely didn’t taste like teriyaki, plus it had a thick, thick gooey looking sauce. Gyoza was over fried and dry. Sushi was so so. Prices were reasonable but I’d prefer to pay for quality and enjoy my meal than pay for a meal you could not enjoy. Thoroughly disappointing experience.
Service disappointing as well; the ladies were overwhelmed and need support. They served people before us; we had to stop them after st least 25 minutes. Didn’t control the order and forgot to bring us what we ordered. If there were anither server, service would be better…and maybe the food. Worst Japanese food I’ve ever had.

It was my first time visiting this place after putting my name down on the whiteboard we waited for like over half an hour. After we got seated, placed the orders, the food was served but no hot tea and plates ready, had to ask for them. Their service is ok, but there’s only one old lady who understands English, the other lady doesn’t seem to understand what we needed, and even gave us the wrong order. Our families are all picky eaters have higher standards for food, so we thought the sushi was mid, wasn’t cut clean. The sashimi wasn’t fresh and not recommended ordering them, the tempura was good. Won’t come back.

happy to have stumbled upon this place. the rolls were good, sashimi fresh, and fried things used a beer-like batter that was more doughy / golden crispy rather than the thinner crumbly style — karaage had some tenderized meat inside instead of large chunks of thigh which was unexpected but interesting. the gomae and agedashi tofu were generous. overall, nice home-y japanese mom n pop serving a bunch of classics, humble and satisfying for a casual dinner date.
Favorite sushi place in the city. Fresh fish at a good price

A “hole in the wall” that serves good sized portions and good food.
-Beef Teriyaki & Unagi teriyaki combo: the beef was plentiful and tender I got more than I was expecting. That’s always a plus! The unagi was a huge piece that came sizzling to the table. Melted like butter, make sure to pair with rice as there are a few bones.
-Chicken Katsu: lightly battered crispy pieces of chicken. Portion size was perfect.
Parking: Lots of paid street parking, depending on time of day will b harder than others but over all not to bad.
Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible yes but comfortable I would have to say it would b tight. If you must I would call head to make sure you will b accommodated.

This restaurant is unassuming and amazing. The food is unbelievable for what you get and pay. It has a very quaint vibe and there is not music playing so loudly you can't speak with the people you are with. Please don't go, I like this hidden gem and want to be able to keep getting in!
