Open late on Sundays when most other places are closed in the area. Sushi was very reasonably priced and satisfying. The tea was loose leaf and not from a bag which we prefer.

Service was everything I expected and it has a cozy homey vibe. No frills, no pomp, but what I was looking for.

do yourself a favor, don’t come here. this sushi joint isn’t the same anymore when it was run by our favorite server. the new servers here are very rude. yesterday we got yelled at just from a simple request. after being seated and waited and ignored, we walked out of there and will never comeback. as a customer for over two decades, we won’t becoming back

The food overall was okay. I would recommend avoiding the teriyaki dishes--the thick gooey syrupy sauce was unappetizing.

We truly enjoy the authentic and classic sushi, sashimi and rolls. You can also satisfy your urgings with combinations of teriyaki, tempura, the house special bento box, hand rolls. The sizzling beef or chicken amiyaki is a crowd pleaser! We return weekly, with friends and family and are never diaappointed. Great staff and a warm environment.

We visited this restaurant just today [9/07/25 ], and unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience due to the staff’s attitude. From the moment we arrived, we were met with indifference and a lack of basic courtesy. One staff member in particular seemed irritated when we asked a spoon and the way she answered she's rude! And the same lady that gave us attitude before! She really had a bad attitude!

The food was decent, but the unfriendly service really overshadowed the meal. Hospitality is a big part of the dining experience, and I hope the management addresses this issue. We were 9 people and she gave attitude to my children too!

The soup was tasty. That's the best I can say. I ordered a tuna/yellow tail roll and once it arrived (10 minutes after my husband's food arrived) it appeared very dry and thin. I tried the first piece of tuna, started chewing and spit it out. It was so fishy and chemically tasting in addition to being dry. This was certainly not fresh fish. I've been to 100s of sushi places and never have I experienced this scary quality of food. By scary I mean that if I had swallowed it, I might have been food poisoned. I called our server and told her that it tastes terrible and even though I apologized for having to return it, she just looked at me and said ok. I then ordered a salmon roll and it was better. The place was busy and I couldn't understand why everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. I realized that most customers were eating menu items other than sushi such as tempura and tonkatsu. So maybe this just isn't the place for sushi. Maybe they just don't sell the fish fast enough. The sushi preparer should not have plated my food. Any amateur could see how dry and lackluster it was even prior to tasting it.

Awesome prices and great food. I enjoyed the glass of plume wine. I ordered the bento box, which was fantastically priced and had meat, rice, salad, miso soup, sashimi, tempura, and gyoza for $20. What a wonderful offer and the staff are very kind.

Disappointing Experience – Poor Service & Not Fresh Food

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt it was necessary in this case. I was really looking forward to trying this Japanese restaurant, but unfortunately, it was a big letdown.

First of all, the service was extremely poor—unfriendly staff who seemed uninterested and inattentive. We had to wait a long time just to place our order, and even longer for the food to arrive.

When the food finally came, it was far from fresh. The sashimi tasted off, the rice was dry, and the presentation was sloppy. For a place that advertises itself as an authentic Japanese experience, it completely missed the mark.

With so many great Japanese restaurants around, I honestly don’t recommend wasting your time or money here. There are much better options with fresh food and respectful service.

I had a pretty good time in here. We went twice while visiting and both time left happy. I thought the service was odd at times missing miso soup. Unsure if we needed to ask but other than that was good.

new management. Food quality is not the same. Asked for a spoon for soup. Was told by owner to just bring the bowl to my face.
