It's not as funky as I expected it to be ... This place could be pretty much anywhere in south east Asia and some of dishes would do as well in S.E.A as much as they do here , prices aside . The one dish that disappointed was the crazy jungle Curry. It might be crazy but it wasn't any thing that resembled curry. Not thai curry, not Japanese curry, not Indian curry, not Chinese curry. It was rather soupy a bit of spice but lacked the texture. The other two dishes papaya salad and the pork salad were pretty spot on.
As you can tell by the color of the photos the funky lights in the restaurant made that tribute

Delicious food. Service is good but slow. I would not come here if I was on a time crunch. No service fee but the cost of the food is a little pricey compared to the amount of food you get. I think I only had 5 shrimp in my curry. It is good, though. đŸ€”

Got the vegan Motherland Curry and it is a revelation. Yum is not sufficient. Wow! The Thai lime tea is also sublime. Do not hesitate. This place is innovative and slightly weird and delicious. If that sounds good, go go go!

Excellent Thai cuisine! Very authentic, fresh complex flavors. The chef knows what he is doing! 2nd visit! Will go back soon.

Paid $25 for Jungle Curry—got 8 tiny pieces of tofu in pepper paste, no veggies, no rice (that’s extra at $2.50). When I asked, they said “It’s organic tofu.” Sorry, that doesn’t make up for the portion.

The Drunken Noodles were small too—not rice noodles, but egg noodles. Flavor was just okay.

Only three people running the whole restaurant, so don’t expect service.

Small portions, high prices, and not authentic. Won’t be back.

Phenomenal! For a place that embraces its non-traditional offerings, I found the flavors and spice levels refreshingly authentic. The papaya salad is a must try!

The food here is amazingly tasty! You won't find your classic Thai dishes here, but what you will find is amazing variations and creative dishes that go above and beyond in the taste department. The food was delicious and affordable and there was good service and a nice casual ambiance. I highly recommend this hidden gem.

Smaller portions, bigger prices, excellent food and service. Three of us shared everything; every dish was exceptional.

Great vibes! Will definitely come back!
Just found one of the dishes seriously salty, above what one would expect. Others were great!

Yellow Curry Chicken was the best food I’ve ever had. Do not think twice about coming here.

Great outdoor dining area. Excellent food. We’ve been a few times and ordered something different each time. You can’t go wrong.

Too bad SF police don’t control the loud illegal motorcycle side shows on Valencia.
