Wonderful stop for lunch, and decided quickly to cancel the rest of the afternoon, split a bottle wine (fun selection), have apps, entrees, and dessert, and slow down and enjoy.
Never was rushed, had great service, enjoyable conversations with the team, and went back the next day.

Ordered 5 burgers, every single one of them was raw to the point of moo-ing. They refunded our money, but we were still left trying to figure out dinner for our family. Absolutely disgusting.

Waited for almost 4 hours just to get sat down and order. I saw plenty of people come after us and get served first. They only served the food after we asked multiple different times. I have no idea why this restaurant is rated so high, it's food, staff, atmosphere, and efficiency can be outdone tenfold by a 5-year old. After we expressed our disdain, the manager was pissed AT US, and put a damper on the whole meal. This has happened with others that I know too. Do not come here unless you like to wait.

We had an amazing experience at Galinette. We ordered the beef tartare, jambon beurre, frites, and coffee. The tartare was fresh and full of flavor, and the jambon beurre was outstanding with tender, delicious pork. The coffee was different than what my mom was used to with its more floral notes, but the food really stood out and made the meal special.
Our server Carl was warm, attentive, and kind. He explained each dish and made the experience fun and welcoming. I loved that we never felt rushed, which to me is the heart of French dining, taking time to savor each bite.
The space is beautiful with open seating, walls of wine, the French flag outside, and unique mural art throughout. Galinette captures the spirit of French food and culture, and I will definitely be doing what I can to spread the good word. The owners built a gem to the city. Thanks!

First time visiting...reminds me of the best small cafes I visited in Paris...very traditional comfort food dishes. I had the steak frites and it was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to return for dinner and have the chocolate pot de creme.

Appetizers were good: both chicken liver mouse and brandade. Bourride was just ok. Not very hearty. Fennel in it was completely inedible. Heirloom tomato salad with some kind of ham was good.

I’ve dined at this restaurant numerous times, the food is mostly good and it’s a nice change of menu to have in the neighborhood.
Unfortunately our last meal experience left us dissatisfied, mostly due to the service. Our table did not order any wine (typically we do, which now makes sense why the staff in previous meals were much friendlier).
After we had just ordered I walked up to the front to add another item to our order and was surprised to hear our waiter letting the other staff member know “they didn’t order any drinks” and to see him scoff and her turn around rolling her eyes, visibly annoyed.
Sure, we didn’t order wine and add $100 to our meal and maybe that’s disappointing to them. However this reveal of how they expect drinks to be ordered, the entitlement to say it out loud and make it clear they were displeased is not a welcoming feeling for anyone coming to eat in their space.
The waiter’s demeanor changed for the rest of the night and quite frankly we felt uncomfortable and had an awkward $200 dinner.
An unfortunate experience!
