On July 31, 2025, our 11th wedding anniversary took an unfortunate turn at Garibaldi's, a trendy neighborhood spot in San Francisco's Presidio Heights, located at 347 Presidio Avenue. Despite its reputation for good food and service, our experience fell short. We'd recommend checking reviews or alternatives before visiting. Despite having a 6 pm reservation, we were seated in a corner spot near the portable lift, which was not suitable for my partner's mobility needs. When I requested a table change, the hostess and waiter, Anthony, were uncooperative. Unfortunately, Anthony's behavior was unacceptable, as he stepped on my shoes and bumped into me without offering an apology. The hostess also declined our request to sit by the window, citing noise concerns, despite the overall loud atmosphere in the restaurant. Feeling disrespected and discriminated against, we chose to leave. The owner apologized and offered a gift card when we spoke with him, but we declined, as we were seeking improved service rather than compensation. In contrast, our experience at Zuni Cafe was exceptional. We were seated promptly by the window upstairs, and the service was outstanding. The wait staff was polite, apologetic, and attentive. The food was good, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Given the stark difference in service quality, we will likely return to Zuni Cafe and avoid Garibaldi's in the future.
Food great, service a bit slow (allowing us to visit?, or just too busy), and very loud. Overall, however, a very good experience. Our third time and we will go back.
A bit lackluster this time. We have dined there many, many times. This time service was bare minimum and food just wasn't up to par.
Always reliable, consistent, excellent. Menu changes frequently enough, but not at the expense of old standbys. Never tire of returning.
Lovely little neighborhood restaurant with amazing food, cocktails, wine selection and ambiance. Highly recommend!
Milton was amazing.
I’m leaving a review for Milton - our server. He served my mother and I for her birthday. His energy, warmth, and attentiveness was incredible. He made the night special even beyond a nice meal! Thank you!

We've been eating at Garibaldis's for over 20 years. We were back in town and just had to have the lamb. Delicious and lovely—just as it's always been!!
Still a great neighborhood evening out. Chicken Milanese never gets old! The burger is sneaky great
Sat at the bar, ordered off the happy hour menu (and it's only an hour) and had excellent service from the bartender, loved the burger, risotto croquettes and drinks, we'll be back.
As expected, everything was great. I have been eating at Garibaldi's for many years. The Chicken Milanese was my favorite entre. The Lamb is high on my list as well. Yesterday, I enjoyed a corn on the cob small plate that was amazing. The portion sizes are generous as well. Our server was responsive but not annoying! Great place and I recommend that even if you don't live in the neighborhood, you should try this place!

Very nice, quaint and reasonably quiet. We had the Black Cod and Flat Iron steak. The cod was melt in your mouth and the steak was tender with a delicious reduction.
We've been going to Garibaldi's for years whenever we're visiting our kids in San Francisco. The fact that we always want to go back says it all!
Excellent in every respect. I have been coming to Garibaldi for over thirty years. From the time the restaurant opened in fact My favorite in San Francisco by far Ian Paget
My new favorite local spot! Lovely, local ambience, great service and food is simple and very nice.
The chicken Milanese and the dessert were excellent, but the lamb was a bit tough and was more than medium rare. But otherwise good
