Fantastic artisan pizzas. We always stop by when we’re in the neighborhood!
Walked in around 4:30 at the Hayes Valley location.
Tables dirty. Ordered large pizza and Ceasar salad. Got both. Salad in plastic container and pizza in to go box even though we said we’re eating in the restaurant. Asked for extra dressing and was charged extra even though no price on the overhead menu.
Asked why they’re wasting a box and was told by an employee that they don’t have trays that large even though there’s 8 of them sitting in the case in front of her....read full review

GIOIA Pizzeria serves amazing pizzas with great ingredients, crispy crust, and charred spots. The avocado & arugula salad is AMAZING and a must-have. They offer vegetarian options that often beat out the meat options. It's a fantastic spot for a delicious meal, with another location in Berkeley. While parking is difficult and there's no space for kids to sit down or for wheelchairs at tables, the pizza is strongly recommended, with quick and hot slices at a good price.
