On fridays they serve whole pig knuckle with sauerkraut. Its delicious.Somehow the inside main space has terrible acoustics and its hard to hear even the person across from you. Their side seating area is fine though.
IYKYK Deutches Essen... I'm a lifelong vegetarian and their salad, potato pancakes, Knödel in mushrooms sauce, KäseSpätzle, messy fries are outstanding. Friends love their schnitzel and sausage. Prost!!

As an Austrian I must say this place is the closest one in San Francisco to emulate Bavarian culture and food.A complete selection of beer, classic dishes, and exceptional staff.My only critique would be to add more flour to the käsespetzl and crisp it up a bit. Otherwise this place is exceptional.
