The appetizers and the main course were absolutely delicious! We tried the Tunisian red wines which weren't that great! The dessert at the end was also underwhelming. However the service was phenomenal. And as I mentioned before, the food was something we would definitely come back for.

A very nice place! Good food and some interesting wine choices, to boot. Good value as well. Friendly, professional service. Volume level can be on the "vibrant" side, so that's something to keep in mind, but we highly recommend! Look forward to returning.

Everything was delicious! There were 4 of us and we shared all of the starters. We all especially loved the scallops in the turmeric cream sauce, the shrimp deviled egg & the octopus salad. We each ordered one of the 4 entree dishes and they were all good. One of the ladies in the party had a birthday; we ordered dessert and Gola surprised us with a birthday treat and sparkling beverage to celebrate. Excellent evening repast!

Excellent decor, conversation with owner and chef Rafik, ambience and food. Great mocktails, cocktails, Tunisian red wine. Brika and eggs with shrimp appetizers, spicy lamb tagine in a gola earthen pot, fish fillet, meat stuffed peppers, fresh bread and Tunisian harissa, hazelnut baklava and pistachio topped crema. An intimate and quiet restaurant, great fun to walk there on Valencia Street and visit Dog Eared Books after dinner.

Perfect from A-Z - from the moment you walk in and greeted till the last good-bye . Service friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and fun. The food is flavorful and fresh. Every course arrives timely, without rush. You feel that you have been transformed to a place far from home, where for the moment, you can relax and enjoy great food in the lively company of others. Don't miss out!

The food was delicious, the service was good, and the prices were very reasonable. This was a business dinner for applicants and it was a great way to show off what SF has to offer. Later in the evening, it got a little noisy for a business dinner, but still okay. I would definitely return!

The ambiance is great! A very sexy space. We sat at the bar. It was cozy. We had some Pinot Noir that was spectacular! The food is very different than what we have had before and we liked it. Parking is easy at the lot on 21st and Valencia.

This may be my favorite restaurant ever. The level of quality in every aspect possible is unparalleled. I literally drive 3 hours just to eat at this restaurant.

Really delicious food; full of flavor. The highlight was the branzino and the potato/tomato/eggplant/olive/egg side with it. Attentive service and wonderful food; will be sure to return.

Gola is a lovely restaurant serving delicious, fresh Tunisian cuisine! We loved the lamb stew served in a tradional gola, the appetizers were great, and a decent wine selection to comliment the food. Nice ambiance as well. Would definitely dine here again.

Such a delicious experience in a warm ambiance. The service was excellent, even on a busy Friday night. The bread was piping hot and went perfectly with the spiced shrimp and scallop starter. We had the stuffed mini peppers and lamb tagine for the mains which were excellent and well-portioned. And last thing to rave about is the bukha-rita cocktail with a spicy, smoked harissa rim. Looking forward to the next visit!

Great flavourful food with a nice vibe. All the meat is halal which is a plus. Def an underrated and under discovered restaurant. Will be dining again!

Gola was accommodating for a small birthday celebration of 10 people. It was easy to call up and let the owner know about the reservation. Keep in mind there is a max of 2 credit cards per table so there may be some Venmo-ing happening at the end. That said, every one agreed that this was one of the most delicious and warm and wonderful meals ever! The cocktails were all incredible. Some standouts to me were the Tunisian deviled eggs, Brika au Thon (amazing phyllo stuffed with tuna and potato magic), and the Chicken Tagine. I will be dreaming about the flavors of that melt-in-your-mouth miracle tagine till the next time I return. Friends mentioned how they want to come back with others to share this find. The service was spectacular as well. 10 out of 10 all around.

Tunisian food is incredible, and Gola elevates the experience of it. Excited to see this restaurant flourish.

Great food and great cocktails. Chicken Tangine was delicious. Staff was very friendly and welcoming but service was a little slow, they seemed a bit understaffed for a Saturday evening. The music was a little bit too loud, generally the ambiance was pleasant but it would have been more intimate if the music had been turned down a little. Regardless, highly recommend on account of the cuisine.
