Another amazing evening with fantastic food & top notch service. A big shout out to our host & server Nick, sommelier Steve & Mgr Eric. Well done team & will see ya'll soon??
Staff was very attentive and food was awesome. The cocktails and wine selection were also very good. We sat in the main dining room but could still hear the music from piano lounge.
I had the Falafel plate. Good food for under $20. Comes with a free soda or water.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time here celebrating his birthday. We were offered a comped glass of champagne since we were celebrating. The place definitely gives swanky steakhouse but with a more modern twist. I HIGHLY recommend the Pavé Tots with caviar, the steak tartare, the potato puree and the truffle bordelais sauce. You really can't go wrong with any steak you choose. If you're a cutlery or a knife nerd, they let you choose your own steak knife from their eclectic collection of hand made knives. They also have a pianist that plays in the lounge nightly which i think adds to the ambiance. Thank you Vault Steakhouse for a wonderful time and meal! Will definitely be back.
We initially had a tense exchange over our booking upon arrival, but the issues were quickly resolved, and politely and professionally acknowledged upon leaving... Additionally one of our group had an issue with his meal. Our waiter took it back, no questions asked, and replaced it. Food was very good. The piano music was superb.
Only Resturant that I have ever been to is where they dress your raw oyster's! Probably to hide the fact that they are not fresh! The last one I ate was VERY FISHY! Didn't eat one b'cuz it didn't look fresh!! They got my order wrong for my steak ?! This place could really use a brush up!! Pretty much a One & Done kinda place! Once U go U wont return, but U can say U dined there!
It was....fine. Not good, not bad, just fine. The vibes when we went were "Businessman eating alone at an upscale hotel on a business trip" which did not match the romantic celebratory date night vibes we wanted. The food was solid, steak both well cooked and well seasoned, but it was boring. Not in a tastes bad kind of way, just in an unimaginative, robotic kind of way. I wouldn't go back or recommend it, but if you told me you were going there I wouldn't force you to change your reservation.
Everything was perfect. We were warmly welcomed and my cocktail was the best I had this trip to San Fran. We enjoyed the soup and salad course and our steaks were cooked to perfection. We recommend the corn and mashed potatoes. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Good steak, not great. Good Potato Pavé Tots. The Caesar Salad was highly unusual. It was “prepared” table side, but the preparation was more of just an assembly. It consisted of whole romaine lettuce leaves with a dressing poured on top, grated cheese, whole anchovy fillets laid on top and a hard boiled egg placed on the side. I can't say I've ever seen a Caesar salad “prepared” this way, and I would definitely not recommend it. They have an extensive wine list but lack a good sommelier to help choose a wine. I thought the ambience was disappointing as well. It may be in a bank vault, but you wouldn't know it by the average restaurant decor.
Overall, The Vault was ok. Booked for a business dinner and it was nothing special. Service was great, but extremely rushed. We had a slow eater in the group and the staff kept coming back to clear every single plate, cup, utensil one by one and then stood there watching her eat. The food was fine, but not a single person was saying, "wow, this is delicious".

We had a fabulous dining experience at The Vault Steakhouse! Our waiter, Nick, was attentive, professional, and extremely kind. Every Vault team member that we came in contact with was lovely. The food was over-the-top delicious. We had the Parker rolls to start, ribeye steak that we shared, and creamed spinach and beignets for dessert! Thank you for a lovely early Mother's Day dinner!
The food was mediocre and overpriced. We ordered a few tomahawks, ribeyes, razor clams. The steak was cooked well, but all of the dishes were too salty. The service was good, but the manager was a little rude. The ambiance was nice; we sat in the piano room, but it was quite cold inside. It was interesting to try the Vault Steakhouse, but I wouldn't come back.
It was a good experience overall. Admittedly more low-key than I envisioned, but don't know the ins and outs of the financial district with relation to business on a Saturday night. Staff was very attentive, helpful, and polite. Steak and accoutrements were as ordered and an above-average by the glass wine selection.
Wonderful dining and entertainment experience in the lounge. Mgr Jianwei was attentive, professional and welcoming. Enjoyed the live piano music. Wine list, quality of food and ambiance. Looking forward to returning soon. The potatoes with caviar were scrumptious!
This was so close to being a 5 star experience. The atmosphere, service, and food quality were all excellent. The trouble is the interpretation of dishes. When I order a classic dish, I like less creative liberty. The Caesar salad was “made tableside” but really they rolled whole leaves in dressing and served with two large croutons. Lobster bisque had no cream and if that was lobster, it was old and rubbery. The French onion soup had huge mushrooms in it. Finally the beignets were more like beer bread with sugar. I wanted to like it more...but I didn't. The steak and bearneise sauce was excellent.
