The Handroll Project, opened in May 2022, is a modern and intimate restaurant that specializes in handrolls. Located in a prime area, it offers fresh fish and excellent flavor combinations. The interior is small, mainly with counter seating, and reservations are recommended, although service can sometimes feel rushed. Prices are reasonable, and the restaurant provides a variety of vegetarian options; four of these are vegan by default, and the staff can make the fifth vegan as well. The staff is attentive and friendly, and they are willing to accommodate dietary restrictions and kids who can eat hand rolls. The menu features a fantastic assortment of handrolls, including specials that are always delicious. While the decor is simple and could use some personality, the handrolls are definitely worth a visit. The selection of wine, draft beers, and small dishes is limited, but the quality of the food makes up for it.
