A small joint with big food. This restaurant holds up the term soul food from the original owners. Highly recommended, the inside is small but give a retro SF feel of the 70s. Only thing that must be improved...red beans and rice. Their formula is way off.
Out of macaroni when we went and 3 of us had an upset stomach (likely from the potatoes)
This is out of the ordinary, though, and everything else was great.
If we go to the 3rd street location again and it's better, I'll update the rating to reflect that.

Came in for a late lunch the other day to a few folks inside and nicely spaced. Was seated in the dark back corner, which wad chill for me as I was looking to be in and out.
Ordered the fried catfish with cut corn and mashed potatoes. The meal also came with tap water and 2 cornbread muffins with butter. No frills made-to-order food. The catfish was small, but 3 pieces was enough given how big the portions are for the sides. The breading was just right, and...
