The won ton soup made me, and my two lunch companions very sick. The "meat" tasted very off. I couldn't finish the meal. Sanitation of the place was very questionable. The Health department should stop by here. We only went here cuz the nearby burger place that starts with a Z was full, and we were quite famished. Never again will we go to this restaurant.

Best pho I've ever had

(updated 2022 ~2 years after going here)So, we could have caught them on their roughest day, and this *could* only reflect on that one day. I've just seen 2 other reviews that say this about them, but this place gave us moderate food poisoning. Not the sickest I've felt from eating off food, but the symptoms were fairly immediate after leaving the place. The chow mein was very greasy and salty, and the pork sandwich was stringy and hard to eat. The french fries tasted like old tempura oil, which wasn't good. The tea was pretty good. Everything tasted mediocre, I am just concerned that they are keeping everything as clean as they should.

this restaurant is mouthwatering like I don't think you understand. It's genuinely the best place I've ever been too

Tasty pho, but the lunchtime crowds make service slow. The staff said, "don't order online" unless you're ordering take-out. There's no advantage to ordering online for dine-in, since you still have to wait in line. Online reservations for tables are not honored either:(

Not marketed very well from street, but in this trendy office and tourist area, the Chinese food is the real deal! Well I did have the Combo Pho and it had real beef meat balls (beaten beef), tendon sliced thinly, tripe, brisket slices, etc... served with a nice hot beefy broth and side of jalapeño slices, lime wedge, Thai basil, and wedge of lime. Super friendly order staff! Not fine dining but great for quick lunch!

Fast service.Decent broth . . . I think some MsG. Good amount of rare steak and beef balls in the combo #23, but not much tripe, tendon, or brisket.Didn't try it, but the Bun Bo Hue got good review along with the vermicelli bowl (Bun)

Had Beef Wonton Noodle soup, not great. The beef was more cartilage than anything, and I’m a fan of fatty meat. The wontons were not tender. There are other good reviews for this restaurant, try something else if you go here.

Great lunch spot for cheap meals in an otherwise expensive part of the city ! The soups are good and the rice and meat dishes are also really good. Get a nice pho and a viet iced coffee for a tasty discount mea if your startup doesn’t cover your lunch and you need to buy your own like a peasant

This place gave us food poisoning. Really greasy and salty chow mein and the pork sandwich was stringy and hard to eat. The tea was bitter and some of the boba were hard. Everything tasted mediocre overall but it seems off now that we're feeling nauseous

Middle of the road taste, with an upper echelon price. If you like Vietnamese food, don't go here. The banh mi is smaller and more expensive than most, and is served with fries that stink of tempura, and taste like old, unchanged oil. The noodles are salty enough to make you nauseous. Even if you were a life long smoker, you'd be able to tell that these noodles are a waste of money. The only saving grace is the boba tea, but even that was too expensive - just about the same price as the milk tea served in the Bourgeois Ferry Building just up the road, but without a bougie taste to match the price tag. The taste of the greasy, salty noodles will stick with you for up to an hour, and what's worse is that you will be constantly reminded of your poor choice of meal from your upset stomach.

My daughter got violently ill from food poisoning eating at your restaurant yesterday evening. Shame on you you need to throw everything away. You should not be in business, making people sick. I am reporting you to the health department.

Came here today for lunch to catch up with an old acquaintance. I had never heard of Hong Kee before, despite it being right across from our office, as I never looked up to realize there was a restaurant above Oasis Grill. Service here was pretty friendly, and our food arrived literally 5 mins after we ordered. Being that it was so cold out, we both opted for the Rare Steak and Beef Ball Pho. At $12.25 + tax for a bowl, price is definitely on the higher end for Pho, however not unexpected considering the location. Portion size was on the smaller end, and taste was average at best. I did however appreciate that they brought out one plate of bean sprouts for each of us, instead of just bringing out one plate for the whole table to share like some Pho places do. It wasn't until I came on Yelp did I realize this place has a health score of 68 out of 100. Considering the low score, the average food, and higher prices, I don't think I'll be coming back unfortunately despite the convenient location.
