I have been hearing about this place since I moved here and let me say it is worth the hype! The plates are so good and fresh and I love the proximity to the beach as well. As someone who isn’t too keen on fish, this blew me out of the water! So great!!

Came on a Sunday around 5 pm for a snack. Ordered the 3 piece fish and chips $22. Fish was rockfish. Medium sized pieces. Batter was light and crispy, not excessively oily, very good overall. Fries were decent, maybe half were soggy, generous portion. They also sell sandwiches, oysters, fresh seafood to take home, wine and beer on tap, etc. Self serve water is provided. It's an order at the counter and seat yourself type of place. Outdoor seating only. It may be hard to find a table since they are usually quite busy. Only 1 restroom so plan ahead

I love fish n' chips, so I visited Hook Fish after finding it on Yelp. It's a modern fish market with only outdoor seating, which gets crowded. I ordered the two-piece Fish & Chips with a watermelon aqua fresca, and it was delicious.

I had a delicious grilled halibut tacos and a pineapple drink with mint. I was truly impressed with how perfectly well the fish was cooked! It was melting in my mouth. The wait time on Sunday at 5pm was 50 minutes though... Parking was almost non-existent, just fyi, but that's usual for San Francisco.

Amazing food!!!!
One of my favorite stops in the city. Tables are always full, so I like to take it to go for a picnic at the Golden Gate Park just up the street and then make a stop at the beach a block down the road. Everything I've tried on the menu has been nothing short of amazing. Keep an eye out for specials too

Had a rockfish burrito. Really good. The habanero carrot hot sauce is great also.

This place is incredibly good - some of the best seafood I've ever had. My grilled fish of the day plate was incredibly light and refreshing, although I was eyeballing the fish & chips! They'll take your order and serve your food whether or not there is any available seating, so you have to swoop on an open table whenever available

I love this place!
I come here with my family mostly after swim class on Saturdays. It can get very busy especially on sunny weekends, but it’s totally worth it. I mostly get the poke tacos, but everything I had so far is delicious.
