Been coming here for bagels, cragels and other pastries. Recently I brought a baker's dozen and various cream cheeses for the office. Everyone loved it. Service friendly.

I got the avocado and egg on an asiago bagel. When I took my first bit (shown in the photo) the avocado was over ripe avocado… i was so Disappointed. :( I tried to call the store, but there was no direct line to speak to someone. So I am going to go back to the storeUPDATE: I actually went back and tried to exchange the bagels, but they were so nice and instead refunded and replaced my order. They said “we take accountability for our mistakes” it made my day, thanks so much!

Time Has Definately ChangedAbout 20 or so yrs ago, I got introduced to this establishment when I moved to the area, and this used to be the only go to breakfast place when we needed a good bagel breakfast super early in the morning. It used to be jam-packed, and even before they opened, I remembered an old couple parked outside in their old Buick, waiting for their favorite pastries and bagels. I got hooked to it cause it's was the only place I really enjoyed bagel because of the variety they had. Then came the mini bagel period when I would order bags for holiday spread and all that was fun..... Fast forward to this year after 5yrs of living away, I realized the place has changed a bit and after experiencing amazing customer service all around the world and how it picked up after pandemic, quality customer service is what is needed in some businesses here in San Francisco. I understand it must be hard to try to pick up after the pandemic, but it's also sad to see how a highly rated star espablishment has gone down to a 4.2 here on google. I am one who loves to promote neighborhood minority and family owned business, and in the last 2 weeks, the cream cheese cooler has been half filled, and all the good stuff from the bottom are nowhere to be found like white fish for example. Whoever is doing production or controlling stock needs to be concentrating more on what runs out quickly cause maybe it will give u more money than those strawbbie flavored ones thats all pilling up in there.. I am more a loyal customer, kinda person, and if I like something or a business, trust me, that will be my go-to place weekly. It's hard to open super early, and I am sure staff work long nights, but a welcoming attitude and willing to help and suggestive selling might also go a long way, especially early in the morning.. I hope these guys the best and not go down like most places in the city. Let's Pick Up The Star Guys ? ? ? ?

Don’t pay cash if you want the option to tip because the rude guy working the counter will keep your change anyway. It’s happened to me twice.

The Bagels R good N the servers are even better, they have a bulletin board with local music and events. A must for the inner Richmond of SF, great stop to make before the ocean.

Small bagel, with little seasoning. It was purchased early in the AM, but did not seem fresh at all. Not a great value.

I find it hard to believe that a bagel shop can’t toast a bagel with cheese built into the bagel because it damages the toaster. I’ve never heard this excuse before. It sounds like lazy employees. Don’t sell something if you can’t make it like the customer would like it. I’ve lived in this neighborhood almost 20 years and this place for me has gone down hill.

Ok midrange quality bagels; way too sugary IMO. Their “cragels” are mostly a novelty item; not anything I'd buy twice. The plain, blueberry, corn and cinnamon raisin stand out from the rest IMO.Their hummus is not good at all; yes it's homemade but still... too gritty, dense and lacking in seasoning. Chopped liver is good here.Service can be so so depending if the manager dude is in a bad mood that morning...

White fish salad, chopped liver, bagels, lox, rugulah, hamantashen and much, much more, all totally great...forget about it! And a great cup of coffee, you enjoy!

Lots of selection. Stray away from the Nutella cragel, quite dry.

The food quality has absolutely plummeted. The prices are high and the bagels are smaller and don't taste as fresh. Additionally, one of the workers was insanely rude. Even though there was only one customer behind us, he rushed us, audibly sighed and gave us the wrong order after verbally repeating what we wanted. This place used to be a splurge, but was a wonderful treat. Now, I won't bother wasting another penny here.
