Average at best. I was there shortly before closing time (6:30 p.m. when the store closed at 8 p.m.).

The xiaolongbao contain virtually no soup and the BBQ pork buns were a bit dried out.

Prices have also increased significantly.

Food was good. We bought food so we could use the restroom. Restroom was clean. But we end up like our dumplings so we ordered more

Came as a group of 5 just because we walked past it. This place looked like it could be a neighborhood “hole in a wall” gem but unfortunately it could not be further from the truth. Waitress was attentive but kept on upselling us. Eg she said each rice roll was only two rolls and convinced us to double portion on a bunch of things. But when the order came out we were shocked with the size - they were way too much. Our original order was perfect for the group size. We can let it slide had the food been good. Nope. The quality was sub par - doesn’t taste flavorful or very fresh. I usually love braised chicken feet but can’t even finish a single bite (oily, soggy and not flavorful). Soy milk tasted diluted with water. Stay away. Go to Harbourview instead.

I had some pork dim sums that were not good and the lady tried to sell me additionnal stuff in a pushy way with a lack of price transparency.

Food is ok, but way too pricey. We ordered 3 soy bean milks, 2 Chinese donuts, 1 baked BBQ pork bun, and 1 Shanghai dumplings (served in qty 3, instead *4 as the Google menu mentioned) and spent $31!?

There is no pricing info at the in-store menu, and the waiter is hard to communicate with. I checked at Google maps afterwards to figure out the "real" price and food qty.

Maybe it's a different story if we can speak Cantonese. Not recommended, there are lots of better dim sum restaurants around Chinatown, just avoid this one. :(

No posted prices, very expensive & mid. I swear the wonton soup was just microwaved from frozen in it’s plastic container. Meh.

The workers WILL try to up sell you. But be firm in what you want and pay in cash. The worker would not give me chopsticks when asked. The spinach potstickers were good except they had a hard shell in them. Cost $10 for 4 potstickers and an egg tart. Wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to try this place.

Another place I always visit when I'm in San Francisco.

The House of Dim Sum is located in Chinatown, and specializes in Dim Sum, which is a type of pastry that can be steamed or fried. You eat it accompanied by tea.

For a very reasonable price you can have a meal, be it brunch, lunch or dinner, well served and with a lot of variety.

In my opinion it is still one of the best in San Francisco.

The atmosphere is simple and unpretentious.

The service is very good. They are helpful and friendly. Just try to understand English with a heavy Chinese accent…

For tea there is a free refill. Just help yourself in the back of the store.

There are other places in Chinatown that serve the same thing, and even better, but this is where I always stop. A loyalty that dates back to the 90s and continues today!

Way overpriced; was charged 3.50 for a hot tea that I've gotten for 80 cents in other dim sum places. Prices stay hidden until you get to checkout.

Vegetarian options: You have to ask them because some of the dishes I would've thought to be vegetarian were not

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a small ramp into the restaurant but to go upstairs (which is optional however they do have the restrooms up there) there is a flight of stairs

The wife and I stopped in this little place and the Dim Sum and Thai tea was amazing. My wife is from Shanghai and she knows her stuff. I highly recommend this place as she raved about the food.

TOTAL SCAM!! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!! if you don't speak Chinese they charge you whatever price they want at checkout. They cant give you itemized receipt with items and cost for each, and there is no price anywhere expect for 5$ sign on the wall. I Should have read the reviews before going here, it looks like I'm not the only one that has been scammed here!
