The only place with a razzmatazz of vegetarian sushi options — which, to most people, sounds like an oxymoron. But I like all kinds of morons — oxy or otherwise. Bonus: it’s made by actual chefs, not robots.
Dinner started off strong with flavorful chicken and beef skewers, and the salmon kama was a highlight—perfectly cooked and delicious.

The rolls were less impressive. The Rock & Roll and Spider rolls were drenched in eel sauce, which overpowered everything. I’m always a bit cautious when sushi comes heavily sauced—it feels like something’s being covered up. The sushi rice was also a bit soggy.

The best sushi I’ve ever eaten (huge pieces!), the lowest prices I’ve ever seen ($5.50 for sake and hamachi), and the most friendly family staff I’ve ever experienced. It’s no wonder this place has been operating for 25+ years. So good I have to go back the very next day.
