I had dinner with a friend at Il Borgo yesterday evening before a concert at SFJAZZ. The service was prompt, the food was delicious and delivered quickly, and was very reasonably priced. It was easy to have a conversation while dining. Il Borgo is conveniently located for an easy walk to events at SF Symphony (Davies Symphony Hall), SF Opera and Ballet (War Memorial Opera House), SFJAZZ (Franklin and Fell), and SF Conservatory of Music (Bowes Center and Ann Getty Center). If I drive, I park at the SFMTA Performing Arts garage on Grove St. If I walk, I take BART to the Civic Center station.

Absolutely the best ravioli I’ve ever had. I had the artichoke ravioli. Italian is my favorite food so I eat a lot of it all over the US and out of all of them this place stands out. The bread was freshly made and superb. Service was extremely fast. Such a hidden treasure.

Once more at El borgo italian ristorante flavor never ever had disappointed. Always great taste, right on point. The environment is always friendly and inviting, the front person she's amazing so friendly and attentive, the cook will always have your foods made with lots of flavour. I had a great experience every single time I stop by to get a meal. Is hard to find places like this, small family owned with lots of flavour and tradition. 100% recommended

Very welcoming and cozy look with an amazing home cooked taste! Waitress is also very courteous. The nearby Italian restaurants overshadow this one, but I think it's definitely the best in the area!

Beautiful and cozy place with delicious food and friendly staff. The woman who welcomed us was super nice and attentive. The lasagnetta was something new and I’m glad I tried it! We also ordered Merlot, great quality!
Our overall experience at the restaurant was just meh. The look of the restaurant was cute though, with big windows so we could watch crowds outside. Unfortunately, the tables were dirty, and the oil and vinegar dispensers were sticky, so it didn't look like they've been cleaned for a while. Kind of took away from the feel of the place. My fettuccine Primavera was OK. The noodles were thick and seemingly handmade, so that was nice. The pizza Margherita was pretty good, and it was a pretty good size which was nice.  The mixed salad was pretty good. Overall, it was just an OK experience.
