Iron Horse cocktails is hidden away on Maiden Lane just off Union Square. The only reason I even found it was because of some helpful signs they had placed on the main roads. The cocktails here provided a welcome respite from all the shopping. I had the gin based English Breakfast cocktail which was served in a teacup. My friend and I were in the union square area around St. Patrick's Day and were initially going to go to Harlan Records, but saw a massive rollicking crowd outside celebrating St. Patrick's Day, and wanted to go somewhere quieter instead.
Luckily, my friend had already been to Iron Horse Cocktails, and suggested we go there instead. Walking down the alleyway it is located in was a nice getaway from the otherwise hectic union square atmosphere.

Visited on a Friday night at approx 10:30 PM and they closed at 11PM. Service was prompt and drinks were great.The upstairs area is great for more intimate conversations.
Drinks are reasonably priced and I was able to use BlackBird to pay without issue.
