Nice space, but quiche was extremely bland

We went to Jane’s on Fillmore for brunch and had the spicy baked eggs and the spring pea toast. Both dishes, while good, were not remarkable. There was barely any wait time at around 10am on a Sunday for a table, so this can be good spot to grab a bite if time is of the essence.

This place is chaos on a Saturday morning. Truly not worth the 1+ hour wait for mediocre food. It’s not even because it’s busy, the service is just a mess.

Ham and cheese croissant was crazy! Super fluffy, like you would want from France.

Was very curious to try as I see this place filled with people all the time. I ordered an avocado mash toast to go. The plating looked amazing and the egg poach was far better than I expected. I cannot give five stars because the toast was bit blend. I think they tried to add some kick taste with jalapenos but I found it too spicy and not harmonious to blend taste of avocado. The bread itself was thick but had no seasoning. Maybe if it had some additional spread or butter, then it would be better.

Small place but a great discovery for croissants and coffee. Yes, close to Peet’s that is very good, too, but Jane is a step up. Worth a trip.

Loved it! The matcha was superb and the maple syrup with the overnight oats was a nice sweet touch. Good amount of searing.

A lovely and vibrant cafe with great vibes, friendly staff, and tasty treats! I’ve been making my rounds to all the Jane’s in the area, and the location on Fillmore might be my favorite — the team is cheerful and efficient, and the space is beautiful and always bustling. It can sometimes be a little tough to find a spot to sit with how popular the cafe is, but they have a good amount of seating and turnover is pretty quick, especially at their smaller high-tops next to the counter. It’s not the ideal place to work — they don’t have wifi and it can get pretty loud — but it’s perfect for a casual brunch / lunch or to hang out with friends.
The coffee is solid and a smidge nutty, and I’m obsessed with all their pastries. They have a relatively small pastry selection compared to Jane the Bakery, but they have most of the favorites, including a solid spread of vegan and gluten-free options. I haven’t tried any of their normal food, but it looks delicious.

I was pleasantly surprised by Jane on Fillmore, a charming little café tucked among the boutiques on Fillmore Street. I had expected just pastries and coffee, but the menu was much more extensive — and everything I tried exceeded expectations. The avocado toast was fresh and flavorful, and the latte was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The space is a bit narrow, especially downstairs where seating is limited, but they do have extra tables upstairs and a few spots outside, which is a nice touch. This place is always bustling — there seems to be a steady flow of people no matter the time of day, and now I totally understand why. I can’t wait to come back and try more from their menu!

Fabulous pastries. BUT horrible operations. Line of customers 8 deep, with 6 staff behind the counter, yet only one is able to help customers? And the lady at the front of the line had a 36 single pastry order, so literally no one was getting served for a full 15 mins while she was deciding her pastries. Worse yet, when the guy serving customers asked for help from the others, they literally either turned their backs on him, or said not sure what I can do to help??? Jane, get your act together. Your pastries are fab, but def not worth this chaos. And you’re losing customers who don’t have the patience to deal with this kind of service.
