What a great little spot! Found the restaurant on Resy, and had a good time there. Excellent PINSA — expect more dough (very fresh and tasty) and a different size perfect for sharing over a glass of wine. I tried their carbonara pinsa, and I it was nothing short of amazing. The place closes early (as most of SF) so I highly recommend arriving there early for a great dinner. Worth to mention that their prices are very reasonable.
Delicious food, stellar service, and nice atmosphere. Great for solo weeknight dining. I recommend the spicy Calabrian pinsa if you’re not afraid of spice (it is actually spicy) and add hot honey. Arancini wasn’t my favorite (too much saffron for my taste) and I’ve had better panna cotta elsewhere, but the pinsa was star of the show.
Exceptional from crust to service. The pizza at Ponsa Rossa is the real thing — impossibly light, crisp at the edges, airy in the middle, the kind of crust you think about days later. Every topping tasted deliberate and fresh, and the whole meal struck that rare balance of rustic and refined. Service was warm and attentive without ever hovering, the kind of hospitality that makes you want to bring friends next time.
