This is a very cute place to dine if you're ever in the area. The food was quite tasty and our party enjoyed the variety of dishes that fit everyone's cravings. I would definitely recommend eating at Jaranita and if possible, request to be seated in the back patio where there is an indoor tree!

A nice Peruvian restaurant found in the Marina. Enjoyed the flavor and well prepared cuisine. The decor is colorful and beautiful. Will definitely come back.

I came her August 26th to host an engagement party with my family. I had called a week prior to reserve a party which was set; however, when I called day of to confirm they informed me that they didn’t have me listed. After discussing, I was able to get a reservation which was great. The food was pretty good overall, but nothing extraordinary. The ambiance was not for a family or to host something nice, it would be comparable to a bars atmosphere which was really disheartening. It was extremely loud and not what I had seen in the reviews prior. Overall I was pretty disappointed and would not recommend for any event besides a 21st birthday.

I’ll start off by saying I’m not one to usually review places, unless the experience leans extremely to either good or bad. Unfortunately my experience at Jaranita SF has been one of the most unfortunate that I have had the utmost displeasure of having when it comes to dinners. To begin with, a reservation was made for a large party well in advance, and when the day of the reservation came and we called to confirm, the had not only forgotten to take the reservation down in their system but the level of customer service was poor. The reservation was made for their Yuza room, as it was made to celebrate a once in a lifetime ocasión with close family, and when we mentioned having the reservation in the room the staff seemed inconvenienced and annoyed, mentioning that they had other parties for that room as well. While that may be true, it does not in any way cancel out the fact that they lost the original reservation to begin with. After a few minutes of explaining the importance of the ocasión, we were able to get our reservation in, but clearly not the greatest of starts, and an omen of the night to come. Once arrived and seated, we were given menus and we ordered our food. The food did come out rather quick, however two of the dishes were rather delayed, one by about 10 minutes from the rest and the other by about 20. While understandable that a large party would have a delay, there seemed to not be any delay in other tables dishes while waiting for our remaining dish, and as the dish was my mother’s, you can understand my level of frustration at this. Once the dish arrived, it all seemed to be going fairly well. The food is okay, I wouldn’t exactly say it’s anything to write home about, especially for the prices they charge on dishes where the main protein is something as inexpensive as chicken. The consistency of quality between the same dish was also subpar, as some described the dish as too sweet, while others did not have this same problem. The main downfall of the night was when they seated two separate parties, which from the signs and general context clues were birthday dinners. This is where the night goes from unpleasant at best to absolutely horrendous. What proceeded to follow was about an hour and a half of screaming, table rattling, howling, yelling, and behavior so unruly that one could not even hear the person next to them unless they leaned in close and raised their voice. While I understand the excitement of birthdays and the celebrations that come with them, this is a restaurant, not a bar or a club, and most other patrons of the room had to sit through the commotion while also seeming bothered by the level of racket going on in the room. When a waiter finally came out to check in the commotion, they asked the parties if they were too intoxicated and had to be cut off, as if the intoxicated people are going to volunteer to be cut off. This continues for the rest of the evening, absolutely ruining the night for our families. When it comes to large parties, gratuity is included, and the expectation is that the experience be enjoyable for everyone, however this establishment fell short in every regard. I would not recommend anyone go here for not only special occasions, but for a regular dinner as well.

I read the reviews and saw the images and thought I’d give it a try, it must be really good.Honestly I don’t see why all the hype. The food was okay, don’t really want to try again, it’s not mouth watering or reminiscing and craving good. It’s sort of tried and done kind of experience. We wanted to sit in the back garden but they were preparing for a big party and it was off limits, even if it wasn’t they said seating is very limited and that you may not get a chance to sit there anyway.Picture menu would be greatly appreciated, we asked if what we are getting will be coming on Hot iron plate and we were told yes but it didn’t.The cocktail flight was so so, one of the I didn’t taste much, very watery, the other tasted just like a mediocre margarita, and don’t even remember the other one.Still it was a nice experience, we sat outside in the corner. Waiter didn’t come often enough for us to crunch our thirst.

Fantastic all around. Service, food and atmosphere are on-point. The servers are very helpful with navigating the menu, which contains more than your average SA food. Personally, I really enjoy the empanadas and cocktails. Sit out in the back - it's a great spot. This place is pricy, but there's hardly a better place in the marina for a nice dinner.

It's one of the best Peruvian restaurants in San Francisco by far!My family and I tried Pollito Poderoso, which is a big ? and I believe what really makes this dish stand out from others is the To die For sauces! Rocotto, Huacatay, and the Aji de Pollada...We love Pollito Poderoso.Well done, Jaranita Restaurant!

We joined Jaranita for their Sunday PJ brunch! Was such a fun experience and food was amazing! We sat in their center courtyard and enjoyed a free bottle of champagne as we toasted to good times in our PJs! Highly recommend for a quick date and even a group outing for brunch!

Not a lot of selection, but the dishes offered were excellent. I loved the ambiance of the back room, where it was open light but still warm because it's not open air. The waiter was patient because we had kids and were slow to order, overall a great experience.

Overpriced and half the quantity for mediocre quality food. $18 for half a waffle!!! And $26 for 4 small empanadas!!!! The brunch advertised pork dishes but the pork was not available until 2 hours after opening. I paid way less for a 5 people sushi dinner. Service was amazing, our hostess Zola was lovely and she is the only reason I'm giving any positive stars to this place. Not going back again.

Fantastic in every way. Rather than ordering right off menu, we asked for family style and got to try a lot of things. Everything was incredible. The service, vibe, etc. The cocktails were a bit too sweet/overpriced. Next time I'd ask about bringing our own. But food was one of the best meals I've ever had.

Get the Très Leches! One of the best in the city. They have a great space for large groups. Their empanadas and cocktail happy hour is worth it. Check it out.

I found Jaranita online based on the neighborhood it is in as we were meeting a family member. When we told people we were going there multiple people said how good it was and they were right. It is a festive space and the back dining room is spacious. Our server Zula was attentive and charming. The food was excellent. We have traveled to Peru so we have high expectations of any Peruvian restaurant here. Everything was so tasty and well executed. The empanada sampler is a great group appetizer. The Jaranita salad was delicious! Our entrees were also very well prepared. All in all we're were very pleasantly surprised as we had never heard of Jaranita before. I would not only recommend it but will plan to go back there.
