I had the perfect experience here with the best soup I've ever had. I think it was cream of butternut squash which tasted like it had a lot of mushrooms with the right amount of richness. It was ~$5 (the website is a little out of date). I asked if the soup came with bread and the server said it could and gave me delicious toasted bread for no extra charge. I was hungry, and got a full course. I ordered a dirty chai latte, daily quiche and soup special, and a lovely citrus cake. The flavors, textures, and execution was excellent. Fast and efficient service.

A hidden gem in Dogpatch area. Don't be afraid to get into the building, go down stairs, and find many good pastries and cakes there. I ordered the chocolate orange cake and feed 8 people easily for only $43. The cake is beautiful and taste sophisticated.
