Best pizza in San Francisco, seriously. And the local beers from Woods are so good. We go back often!

As a Detroit-style pizza shop owner, I was curious and hopeful checking out this place. I left pretty disappointed.

The dough was dense and underdeveloped, likely the result of a short fermentation, maybe 48 hours at most. It lacked the airy, open crumb and crisp you’d expect from a well made pie.

The pizza I ordered (custom toppings: pepperoni, mushrooms, olives) appeared to have been par-baked, probably as a plain cheese pie, then topped and re-baked. The result was a floppy slice with uneven heat distribution, cheese under the toppings wasn’t fully melted, and the base was soggy.

The frico (crispy fried cheese) didn’t travel fully down to form a full skirt and collapsed under the weight of the bland sauce.

The tomato sauce tasted like it came straight from a can with minimal cooking, bland.

On the plus side, the Czech Pilsner was good. The bar area had a cool vibe, and the beer selection looked solid. The garden out back was modest but fine.

Generally a good place for a beer. Maybe the garlic knots are good.

Gluten-free detroit style pizza was very good and so was the beer / wine selection. The service, however, was not. Hipster dude with an awful attitude took our order. No smile, no hello, no hospitality.

Pizza is fantastic here, it’s done in a Detroit style and is sooo good!

I came here after a happy hour event nearby, and let me just say this place hit the spot. I've been to Joyride in SoMa, but Woods raised the bar. I love how large the venue is and how they have a large selection of pizzas, wings, drinks, and desserts, so there's guaranteed to be something for everyone. Perfect spot to hit up for a night out!

I ordered for delivery and it’s good...very good. Albeit, I was very hungry but Joyride pizza delivered to me an extremely satisfying gorge fest. Ranch, Red Pepper Flakes and Parmesan Cheese come in a generous sized (3.25 oz) cup which was a pleasant surprise from the usual old packets other places tend to give. Meatzza to quote my partner in between bites, "It's bacon is just...bacon"; and Sweet Heat Pineapple is that 'I want pizza but something that's different' pizza in all the best ways (I suggest to add sausage). To end it all (if you make it) the NY Cheesecake doesn't try to be anything besides a darn good cheesecake. If you're still reading this, I highly recommend that you just order it already.

Why is it so hard to get ahold of someone when you make a mistake.

A nice place to sit down having a drink and enjoy the Detroit style square pizza. The atmosphere was so tempting for me to get a drink even though I don't usually drink. The pizza we got is good. It looks pricey but it is actually good and quite filling. There are wide variety of food that didn't notice too. I would love to try other stuff in the menu next time I visit.

Came here alone for a late night pizza and beer and was struck with how great even just their standard pepperoni was. The workers were all incredibly nice and generous with their time AND the music was just hit after hit.
