During the Edo period, many could not afford to display ohinasama at home. Instead, tsurushi bina dolls were crafted and gained popularity. These dolls were made with pieces of kimono and then made into the likes of plum, sakura, rabbits, dogs and vegetables. The smaller dolls were then vertically put up by thread. Each tsurushi bina has its own meaning and is used as a token wish for the future happiness of girls. For instance, rabbits represent kindness, hydrangeas – family bond, and carrots – wealth.

Cute store with Japanese sweet treats, but pricey for sure. Got the waffle cookies, Tokoyo and Suikanshuku.
Personally love the Suikanshuku, it is rarer to see store carries it, love the good quality dried persimmon dessert.
