Came recommended on yelp. They need to tell you on the phone it’s cash only. I got the tong choy and beef with bitter melon. $25. Pricy. Too much rice and the beef was rubbery. Best tong choy I’ve had in a while

The roast duck and barbecue pork are not delicious at all. They don't even clean the duck thoroughly.
Also, I did takeout and the bill was more expensive than what was in the menu. Be careful. Definitely won't come again.

Don take their recommendation or any suggestion! They will overcharged you double the price and the place looks really dirty. The food was not great and they will try to take advantage of u

I love this place - it’s exactly the vibe I want when I go to china town - the owner is a king. Do you really need more ? No if I was a tourist I would stop in here for a bite - cash only :)

I’ve never experienced such delicious flavors—I was genuinely shocked by how amazing everything tasted! The duck is definitely a must-try. I do wish the restaurant had a better seating area and atmosphere, but the incredible flavors alone make it worth the visit.

Tomato beef rice was sweet and sour sauce on overcooked flank steak. Bell peppers and onions, fine. But no tomatoes. Cantonese style should have eggs too. Rice was day old rice probably for fried rice. Cheap, but ultimately cheap for a reason.

Perfect Chinese takeout place for the neighborhood. Reasonable prices, large quantities and greasy in the best way. Love the fish and tofu clay pot and the wet shrimp chow fun the most. Pea sprouts and Chinese broccoli are perfect veggie sides. Cash only!

Kam Po Kitchen is the definition of a no-frills gem. If you're craving Cantonese BBQ in SF—crispy roast pork, juicy roast duck, rice plates piled high with flavor—this is the spot.

I came in for a quick lunch and got the roast duck and BBQ pork over rice with a side of cabbage and their signature savory sauce. The duck was perfectly cooked with crispy skin and rich flavor, and the char siu had that perfect sweet-savory glaze and tender texture. The portion was generous—enough to keep me full well past lunchtime.

It’s cash only, so come prepared.

Pretty disappointed by this. Mostly the price. $28 for duck lo mein and broccoli. Duck was ok, but lo mein tasted flat kind of like dish soap. Broccoli was good but portion was absurd.

The food served here is exceptionally delicious and offers great value for money, with generous portions that are often more than one can finish. Please note that the establishment only accepts cash payments.

A true hole in the wall.

Yes, you might pay a little more than expected—but that’s the tourist premium, and honestly, it’s worth every cent. The portions are generous, the flavors are bold, and the food speaks for itself.

Everything we tried was delicious, but the standout was definitely the soup with Char Siu Pork which was rich, flavorful, and absolutely phenomenal.

Highly recommend!

Everything was huge! The salt and pepper pork chops were amazing! The chow mein(?) wasn't my favorite. Would definitely come again.
