Ma's Dimsum & Cafe Reviews
Delicious food at a really good price
Authentic hong kong cafe food in an unassuming spot. We ordered Bitter Melon with Fish Fillet over Rice and Mushroom and Chicken Rice in claypot and both are good. They are cash only with great value to price.
Some of the tea cups/bowls they gave us were not properly cleaned, so check before use.

Best clay pot! Have tried some places, and don’t think they are bad but just not as good as this place.

Ma's Dimsum & Cafe is a humble, hole-in-the-wall restaurant located in the heart of Chinatown in downtown San Francisco. Despite its unassuming appearance, the restaurant is known for its exceptional Cured Pork Ribs Claypot Rice, which is highly recommended by locals. The dining space is small, seating only around 10 tables, so it's best to call ahead and place your order to avoid the wait. The menu offers a variety of claypot rice dishes, including chicken and preserved meat, spare ribs and preserved meat, as well as frog and chicken with mushroom options. Customers praise the claypot rice for its authentic taste, crispy rice crust, and tender meats like beef, chicken, and oxtail. The crispy rice and flavorful meats are considered the highlights, with some reviews mentioning the eel clay pot as tasty despite minor issues. However, the space can be crowded, and larger parties might have to share tables, as seating is limited. While the dim sum may be average, the claypot rice dishes are the true standouts, offering a comforting and delicious dining experience.
