We visited the place around 10pm on a Thursday night. We ordered food but they got back to us that the specific food was not available after 10 minutes. This happened twice.
The service was unacceptable. The waiters were rude, ignored me when I tried to get their attention, and made me feel unwelcome.

Worst service I’ve ever experienced.

Kay Club was an absolute disaster. The place was insanely crowded, and the servers wouldn’t seat us or take orders. they told us to find our own table. Fine. Burgers were sold out, which is understandable.

What’s not understandable is what happened next. We ordered two items at the bar and paid $79, then no one came to our table. After about 10 minutes, a rude waitress showed up and told us that the rest of the food we ordered was also sold out and that I needed to go back to the bar to change my order.

When I calmly asked why they took my order and money in the first place if the food wasn’t available, she and another waiter started yelling at me, accusing me of yelling. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful.

Then someone else came over and said they’d just give us two steaks and fries instead. I agreed just to end the chaos. Fifteen minutes later, he returned with one small rare steak (they never asked how we wanted it cooked), handed me $20 back, and literally ran away.

No apology. No explanation. No accountability.

Crowded, disorganized, rude staff, incorrect orders, and terrible communication. I’ve never experienced service this bad anywhere. Avoid this place.

The bartenders act like it’s a privilege for you to be in their presence

The food is gross and hyped up on social media, $60 for burgers, a fry (for sure frozen) and a Coke (plus tip), disgraceful.

Key Klub is one of my favorite spots in SF! The vibe is perfect — neon lights, exposed brick, and just the right mix of modern and cozy. The wine list is amazing (and super fun to explore), and the food is way better than your usual bar snacks. It’s great for a date night or a night out celebrating with friends. The staff are always friendly and make the whole experience even better.

Great atmosphere, very clean place and nice music.

But the service was terrible. When I approached the waiters, they were rude and impolite, ignored me and were not welcoming at all.

There’s no need for this place to have such awesome food, drinks, AND ambience. Highly recommend. I want to come back for the happy hour that’s until 6pm everyday (I think)!

Key Klub is a bit tucked away, but absolutely worth the short walk or taxi—especially if you’re after a lively, good-vibes-only kind of night. It’s part of the same crew behind Bodega in North Beach (also great), but this spot leans a little rowdier—in the best way.

Expect a cool, chatty, very San Francisco crowd where everyone somehow looks like they’ve walked out of a magazine shoot.

Mostly wine and beer on offer, plus some top-notch nibbles. Staff are fun, prices are decent, and the whole place just hums with great energy. Strongly recommended for a buzzy evening out.

It’s a great spot but the crowd isn’t so endearing, one of the few places in San Francisco where everyone is 26 🤢

Great people. Feels like a local bar but has the quality of something much grander. A beautiful place.
