I attended a performance of the Ella Dair Jazz, Soul, and Swamp Pop Trio with pianist David Udolf and fiddler Alex Spoto on Thursday, August 20 at Stookey's Blue Room. What a great evening! The music was supreme, the atmoshere enchanting, and sound acoustics perfect. My friend does not drink alcohol so the lovely barman made her a delicious lemonade. I stumbled upon the Blue Room on a random Wednesday and was stunned by the quality of the live jazz and the intimate space. Can't wait to go back.
Great small spot for live music without a cover fee. You might not get a seat in the music room right away during prime time but they free up throughout the night. There's a decent amount of bar seating.

Stookey’s Blue Room is a small, intimate live music bar with a great old school jazz club vibe. It offers free live performances, decent bar seating, and good drinks, including non-alcoholic options. While prime time may be crowded for a seat, the atmosphere and friendly service make it a highly recommended spot to enjoy live music.
