It is hard to find a truly unique dining experience in SF (home of so many amazing choices). But Komaaj has nailed it. Delicious food, well-presented, unique flavors - Komaaj has it all plus a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re at your favorite local spot (which you obviously are). I hesitate to write this review because I worry we won’t get reservations, but something this good has to be recognized. Go and thank me later.
We’ve been visiting Komaj from their previous location and we were a big fan. Unfortunately, during our latest visit we noticed that the quality of their dishes have been reduced significantly and it is not as good as it used to be. We ordered all the four appetizers (cucumber salad, eggplant dish, olives, and Sumac Labneh) and beef patty and pomegranate chicken for entree. Sumac Labneh yogurt was very good, but the rest of aptz were mediocre and pricy. Both entrees were good,...
Incredible food and service - the staff were knowledgeable about the great wine selection as well as offering tips on what to order/ how much. We tried the larger mazze plate and were given a superb run down on everything and how to pair each piece. Can't wait to go back and try more!
