Easily our favourite restaurant in San Francisco! We always bring our family and friends here. They have the most delicious, fresh and innovative dishes here. And their service is great! We love the pork chop, Cornish hen, and lamb roti. We love everything on the menu really. Highly recommend!
Most interesting and delicious meal I’ve had in a long time! The maitake and lamb were real highlights.
what a hidden gem! the pork chop and vegetarian dish were absolutely amazing, as was the mushroom appetizer. we can’t to come back and try everything!
Amazing food, quick service, and reasonable prices. We had the rancheros and the rose toast, and both were wonderful!
The food was delicious, with a great selection of experimental dishes and excellent mainstays. Plus, the owners are convivial hosts. I’d love to come here again.
this place is a hidden gem in SF - incredible California/New American cuisine with a Korean flare, definitely my top 5 restaurants in SF. Rotating menu of fresh ingredients with the season. Be sure to come before they blow up.
Super fresh ingredients with a Korean / experimental flare. Has quickly become a favorite for my boyfriend and I! We are not vegan / vegetarian but often get those options because they are so yummy!
Extraordinary food and service - will be a difficult table to reserve in the future

Came for brunch and thought it was cute and tasty! We came here around opening time on a Saturday and there was no line and plenty of seating.
I don’t think this place will beat out a no frills place that just does brunch items well but for a fusion-y, themed brunch place I think it’s definitely one of the top ones in the city.
I got the sando Benedict and my husband got the rancheros. I definitely thought mine was the better of the two and he somewhat agreed.

Delicious fusion using fresh ingredients — familiar and new tastes to create a sumptuous dining experience. The 3 of us loved the kim chi rice balls, mushroom appetizer, curry Cornish hen, salmon, and bimbimbap. Yum! And we had leftovers to wake home. Great service and fun neighborhood location.

My fav restaurant in sf so far. Every dish is unique. Ordered 5-6 dishes for two people and the lamb and chicken liver were fantastic. “Didn’t know chicken liver could taste this good ?”

Phenomenal food and a chef whose passion for cooking is evident in every dish. The care and attention to quality ingredients shine through, and it’s clear he truly loves his craft. You can feel the joy he takes in seeing others enjoy his creations as much as he enjoys making them. This hidden gem has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants, and a month later, I’m still dreaming about the ceviche I had in August.
My only complaint? It’s not located closer to where I live.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to any of my friends.

Kothai is easily one of the best restaurants in the city, both for brunch and dinner! It’s a nice, casual neighborhood spot… then comes the food. How is there not a line out the door at all hours? It belongs on every “best of the city” list. Brown butter hollandaise, are you kidding me?? The French toast is out of this world. You think you’ve had French toast before? You haven’t. I’ve been many times and am always dreaming about something I ate. They put new things on the menu all the time, making it exciting to try again and again. Great for date night, family gatherings, and friend meetups.
Parking: You can usually find parking within a block or two, but even better if you catch the N train or MUNI.
