The staff at this restaurant is very very rude and very demanding on tips. And if needed a box or a container to hold food the staff said that they will charge 25 cents.
Very greedy sushi owner. Only thinking about taking customer money. Other sushi places are way more friendly than this restaurant. Other sushi restaurants treats customers with more respect.
Not going to eat here ever again.
No wonder why the store has no customers ever

Very high level of care taken in the nigiri selection. Great broth and properly roasted chashu ramen. Overall excellent

Hard pass. We got the omakase on a Saturday, primetime, I would say I mildly liked 2 of the 10 pieces and the rest were bad. 2 were awful and tasted possibly spoiled. Even the toro was bad. This is the first time Ive ever left sushi on the plate during an omakase. Staff was also really rude. Honestly one of the worst sushi places I have ever been to. Despicable in terms of quality and service.

Fantastic place with a cute little vibe. Love the vegetarian options and great sake. The agedashi tofu is very tasty, just ask them to hold the fish flakes if you don’t eat meat.

I love this neighborhood sushi place. The quality is high. The food is fresh. It never busy. We love the chicken karage, lion king, 49er, deluxe California and the unagu don.
Focus on fish. I would not recommend the ramen.

The food is made with care. I stop by and pick up sushi here, I've never eaten in but the place is nice. Clean and intimate. Everything always looks good and it's well made, nothing is ever falling apart, and the fish is good as well. My favorite thing about this place is that it offers a lot of fish that you don't see around much in other sushi places, like where else are you going to see 4 different varieties of halibut at once? They regularly get new fish too, it's worth trying for sure.

This little sleeper on Monterey Blvd is awesome! The booths are spacious and intimate. A fine place to enjoy a quiet meal of delicious sushi rolls, hot saki, cold Sapporo. The food was modestly priced and so good my friends and I just kept ordering.
This hidden gem is highly recommended.

Good fresh fish comes with cold air! We were 3, we were served well and got great sushi and nigiri and end with mochi! For some reason they have tiramisu on their desert menu, but I would take that off if I were in charge unless it’s a really really really good tiramisu. Otherwise, it doesn’t match!
Parking: It’s located in a not so busy street. So plan accordingly for sushi-in, sushi-out! No walking dead around!

Yume offers a fantastic happy hour but beyond this, the food is fresh, delicious and service is warm and efficient. This small family owned place is welcome option in Sunnyside. Support our local businesses!

My favorite Asian cuisine is Japanese, hands down. The downside is, they tend to be more on the expensive side, but whenever I go it's such a treat.
Located in a more residential pocket of Glen Park on Monterey Boulevard, the restaurant doesn't really stand out from the roadway, it's fairly nondescript. To me though, the unpretentious, unobtrusive nature of its facade is kind of alluring, almost like being part of a small club that knows a certain speakeasy of bygone days. What's more, it's not easy to find street parking in these parts, so it's a bit inconvenient.
However, once you get past finding a parking spot and locating this place, this place is charming, if not intimate, and it has that Japanese vibe. The menu has ample offerings you'd find in any typical Japanese place, but I'm inclined to order their sushi rolls which tend to be generous and reasonably priced.
During lunch and afternoons are my recommended hours as it's not crowded and guess what? Finding parking is easier. It's definitely a neighborhood spot and it's one of the reasons why I love San Francisco restaurants, small independently owned places, each with its own character and distinction.
The food is good, reliably consistent and at least the times I've been there, the service is super fast. But then again, I go at non-peak hours.
Good luck finding parking and enjoy your visit.
